Re: Warner Park Update - Manhattan, KS

Park staff are in charge of that. They seem to indicate that it will work out to accommodate the activity, although there is nothing official.

Re: Warner Park Update - Manhattan, KS

It is fun. There are two holes that would make you think of Rosedale Down Under. The shots off the bluff I have nothing to compare to. They are not as breathtaking as hole 1 at Water Works KC but the elevation change is notable for courses around here. If we can expand the course into the park in th...

Baskets on Campus?

On a recent trip through Iowa, one of the courses we visited was the Treasure Cove disc golf course at the Iowa Western Community College in Council Bluffs. The sport seemed to be well accepted on campus. The fairways were not as intrusive as the K State object course but some did share space with w...

Re: tournament in miltonvale

The Tootlefest tournament was a blast. Glad we made it over.

Thanks to the organizers and sponsors for making it a free event with discs for everyone, prizes and trophies. Very cool.

I like the park and will be back soon.

Re: tournament in miltonvale

A friend and I were out there two weekends ago. I don't think I can make it over there on a Thursday night, but you never know.

P.S. the Kountry Kafe hit the spot after a round.

13 is a lot better with a window cleared. I think a lot more people will go for it.

Re: New tounament at Ft. Riley?

I don't know if it's a "dry heat" but it's the kind of heat that kicks me in the nards and makes me wish I brought more water.

Re: New tounament at Ft. Riley?

The hole in the second picture is in good shape now. One round at Riley this time of year is enough for me. I might go around twice in the spring or fall. http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3055/3114912022_6900665280.jpg?v=0 http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3181/3114910822_b5525b1003.jpg?v=0 http://farm4....

Re: Disc Golf on the Rise in Manhattan

I'm not sure if league ever ends. I guess if it snows too much. It's on Wednesdays @ River Pond - State Park at the lake around 5:30. There is a fee to enter the park but you can get a year pass at the county office. There are two 9 hole basket courses in the works, Fairmont and Warner parks. There ...

Disc Golf on the Rise in Manhattan

There have been around 20 people at Wednesday night league even though a lot of students are gone. Two new courses in the works.

Good times!

Thanks for getting the Manhattan area news up on the board.

Same basket. Some of the local players talked to the State Park contact and it was just sitting in back of the buildings.
