Re: Manhattan Leagues Update and Results

Durty Dog, It is my understanding that they play the singles league events on Sundays at 2:30 pm (maybe 2pm). It is held at the only course we currently have here in Manhattan  , which is just north of town at the River Pond area of Tuttle Creek Blvd. I have not personally played in the Sunday ...

Re: Fairmont Park Disc Golf Course Update

Chris, while I have your attention, have you recovered from doing that shirtless somersault at the DD Open ring of fire? . . . Smitty pre-approve of that move or was it an audible?

You sure know how to entertain everyone at a DG Tourney! Keep up the great work.

Re: Fairmont Park Disc Golf Course Update

Yo Mr. Tyler, Yes, the short answer is the Fairmont Park and the Warner Park project's are being spear headed by a different core groups of guys. We all know each other and disc together (from time to time), but we're hammerin' away on getting our separate respective projects done. This is the situ...

Re: tournament in miltonvale

Does the tourney start at 5:30 or 6:00? Your link says 6:00, but a Salina Journal article says 5:30. See Below.

This will make a difference for me because I'll be driving from out of town to play.

Thanks

Re: New tounament at Ft. Riley?

I like the locations as shown on the course map I received last year. However, there's so much room out there that they have almost unlimited tee pad options when they get around to it. I know a few other Manhattan guys that go over there from time to time, but it's just far enough away that it is k...

Re: Lawrence Kansas Disc Golf - Online Forum

Yes, they have a small mosquito problem there. I've dealt with mosquitos before, but there were so many there that you couldn't concentrate on our game. They'd swarm around when you stopped walking and one of them would land on your face within 10 seconds. I honestly started to joke about that park ...

Re: New Tuttle Pins

I look forward to seeing all the additions & improvements. Thanks for mixing things up out there.

It's been a while since I played out there, maybe a month... Sounds like it's time to get back out there.

Re: New tounament at Ft. Riley?

I can't wait to see what you can get going out there. I'd offer to help out a little more, but I'm knee deep in the process of getting a new course built in Manhattan's Warner Park. Good luck in getting this thing off the ground. Plus, I will keep my fingers crossed that this tournament will be open...

Re: Manhattan DG'ers @ 2009 Sunflower State Games

I know it was an "amateur only" event, but I gotta say it was pretty cool getting a medal or two. Not to mention some sweet plastic play outs too, thanks to LSDiscs. Here's three of us Manhattan regulars (+ Jason from Lyon County) after the Saturday Doubles Event. http://farm3.static.flick...

Durty,
That sounds about like the acronym. I suspect you're on the right trail. Keep up the good work.

If you find out anything about their t-pad plans or tourney options please PM me or post something here.

Re: New tounament at Ft. Riley?

I agree with Kewley, Ft. Riley is a grueling course this time of year (Mid July) because there are lot of very long steep hills and not as many shade trees around as you might want. He and I have experienced some seriously long "disc golf marathons" and this one will take a lot more out of...

Re: New tounament at Ft. Riley?

... by the way the course map I have is a 2.7 meg pdf file. Send me a PM and I will try to e-mail the map to you.

In the mean time, I will try to covert the course map to an image file that I can display right on this page.

Re: New tounament at Ft. Riley?

There's certainly a growing contingency of Manhattan players that go over there to Ft. Riley from time to time. The first time my group played it was back in early June +/- of 2008. At the time we heard it was a really new course and they were waiting until they had more money in the budget plus wai...
