Some of you may remember Father Dave from Friz's past. He recently had a lung transplant down in Texas. He's getting better. I would sure like to see him at the Friz again. In a crowd of "unique" people, Father Dave stood out.
You can get an update on Father Dave's condidtion at: fatherdave.com
Click on the "Pudnocker's Picyune" link on the left hand side. The links blend in with the background, so they aren't the easiest to read.
If you know Dave, think a good thought for him today.

I don't know about the flaming shots, but he did have a walking stick with Stimpson J. Cat on it. Oh, and lot's of tie-dye, but that doesn't eliminate too many folks at the Friz.

I've never seen anyone wearing tie dye when I went to the Friz.

Anita:
Wasn't he on the PDGA board (or some other type of official) at one time?

I seem to remember his name being bandied about in some official or semi-official way.

David Tayloe, who often played the Wide Open in the 80s and 90s, and whose
alter ego, Father Dave, often made appearances at Octoberfriz, has passed
away. Those of us who were fortunate to know him, realize that a generous,
most gentle, and humorous soul has left this world, and we have suffered a
great loss. Please see the site listed below for more information about his
brave battle for life.

The note above was from Rick Rothstein. I did not have the pleasure of getting to know Father Dave but remembered this thread being started a month ago and wanted to share this sad news with those who may have known him. KM
