Ron kicked our butts today! He had a great start -7 after the front 9 then just coasted to the easy win. Only 3's on the front hole 5 and 6. Then he got 10 and 11 to be 9 after 11.

Thanks to the Wichta crew for running the event.

The more I play Herman Hill, the more I like it. There are some pretty good holes on the course.

I think you should add 1 more mando. Hole 1 left of the tree on the righ side of the fairway. Makes the hole play tougher and takes the road/sidewalk out of play.

They played doubles after the tourney. I'd swear they got done in less than 90 minutes.

Played shorts tees and short pins.

Chris Smith & Randy Brown shot 39! Several teams at 42.

That is our shortest config. in town, but that is still -15. Layout record. Course record. That is, since the course was last modified, which has been a couple years or so now.

Very easily could have been a 36!

We missed a short (less then 30) putts on hole 4 (short of the basket) Hole 7 (on the short side of the hill) it was the shortest of the putts, and Hole 10 (about 25 feet short).

This was a fun tournament, thanks to all the volunteers that helped out. Tournaments don't just happen. Also, I think Herman Hill is a great course. The only thing I like more at Oak Park is Hole 18 over the water.

Oh, and Mike, I thought you said something about getting the results up quickly...

Gotta ask if anyone knows about the following....

The advanced CTP was not given out. This was a $100 value party package at Fox & Hound Pub & Grill.

James Browns name was the 3rd one on the card and was circled, while the other names were scratched out. He wasn't around at awards. Turns out, James didn't play in the event.

I also remember that the advanced groups started on holes 6, 7, & 8. Advanced Masters started on 9 & 10. I started on 6 and when I got to the CTP hole (#12) there was only 1 name on the card, Lee Griffitts. Lee started on hole 9, so I don't know why there weren't 2 names on it at that point since there was one group that played that hole first.

Anyway, I don't have the card, but

1) Does anyone know who was the 2nd name on the card?
2) Did this person earn the CTP from Lee Griffitts?
3) Who wrote James Brown's name on the card?

Hey Pironix, where've you been? Do you remember round up from two years ago?

10 Jason Adkins 83 58 141

Pretty good comeback to shoot a 58 after laying down an 83.

Scooba was the 2nd name on the card. If I'd have seen this, Lee from Missouri would have got his CTP prize. Kinda funny though.... Not really... Not at all... We'll mail it to him.

Yeah, is it the Coupon for the party thing? I think Smitty and Lee are 2nd cousins, and see each other every Thanksgiving...
