Other Tournaments Around

Post by mrsenortyler »

Maybe we can use a thread like this for tournaments that we'd like to talk about, without making a thread for each one.

Anyway, at the Lake Bella Vista tournament in Arkansas today, Smitty, bringing back the WIN!! Representing for the Double D's, and stretching that win streak. Nice Job. Somehow I ended up tying for 12th and cashing in Intermediate.

It was a good time for sure. 1850 feet on the last 2 holes was a little extreme. I did get to see some bombs get dropped. I also got to play a little Ring of Fire action, I didn't know how much fun those things are. I will be looking for some people to start taking over in Kansas, because I am ready to play. :D

My dad & bro played that course a week ago. Thick time of year for that one.

Hole 3 is a classic! RHBH hyzer shot that has a gap in the trees you got to throw to. The basket is on a peninsula to the left. If your drive goes short or long, you are in the water. There is also a straight-at-it short cut you can take that is even riskier.

Maceman made the trip as well.

Hole three was okay. The green was so fast, if you didn't hit the right gap, you had a good chance of skipping in the water. Being RHBH, you didn't have to throw a very good drive to be close. Left-handers had to really cut the corner and play riskier to get the Birdie. I think Hole 4 was my favorite.

Hole 3 is OK at best. It is a simple hole with no thought what so ever. Throw a hard low hyzer and skip towards the hole.

Hole 5 is the best hole on the course by far. Long with a tight fairway. OB water on the left, trees and OB on the right. Flick or midrange off the tee, hyzer upshot.

I really do like the course. I don't care for hole 13 or 17 and 18, but all the rest are fine. You better take your straight shooters if you play there.

Yeah, I remembered likeing the wood holes you mentioned. 17 & 18 were a big not much fun. They couldn't have done much else though. Guess they should plant some trees out in the open and make them really tough.

Rusco and Justin AT are playing in Michigan this weekend. Let's hope one of them can bring the title back to Kansas!
