For those who haven't been up to the Hutch course in the last few months, the course will be taking on a different links style look this year, and likely for future years. I have mixed feeling about it. Same ol' sandburrs, although they seem a lot less prevalent in the fairways this year. :D

Hope some of you can make it up for both tournaments this weekend.

Windy times at Hutch this year! The course looked a little different, with fairways mowed and the rest being turned into native grass habitat. It was pretty warm and would have felt even warmer except for the 25-30 mph. wind! I wish the folks that had played Mcpherson had stuck around....Still, a good time . You should have been there! I took the Open div. and Jared took first in Master. A lot more am's at this tourney compared to Mcpherson. Thanks to Brian Shields and Mace Man for running the tourney this year.

Thanks Brian and Mace for putting this together and running this tourney. It was a tad windy, but I'm kinda used to it. I broke the 3rd place jinx, I've had it for 3 years until now. I had a good time playing and enjoyed the tight afternoon round. Also, way to go Steven and Jason, on the Atkins run ring of fire. I can't remember the last time I've seen the guy running it end up with most of the prizes...

Them purple putters are money. I think Miranda threw one for the ace fund throw off on Saturday to take the top cash in that. I should get me one.

I just wanted to thank Mace and Brian for running this again this year, and to all of you who came up. Between the December 2007 ice storm and a persistent problem with pine wilt (I think we're going to lose yet another tree on #10) the elements haven't been particularly kind to the course the past few years. I wish the parks department would get us some replacement trees, but hopefully letting the native grass grow in the rough areas will add some character, and kill off the sand burrs which have been a nuisance there since forever.

We hope you can come back next year to see the finished product.
