What is up, why isn't there going to be a tournament in Emporia at Monkey island and what about WYCO it seems as if this sport is dying here in Kansas as there aren't as many tournaments this year. Whats going on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There will definitely be more tourneys added to the schedule. But not all tourneys in KS are part of the KDGA tour.

Would it be worth it to post a schedule in "Non KDGA Tournaments"? It would be cool to see all of DD's events, KC tourneys, events in surrounding states, etc.

Disc golf is not dying in Kansas. It is growing. It is January and the whole month of April is already full, several other months are full and there will be more tourney's to add to this. Along with non-KDGA events in the area, the year will be full every weekend. unfounded post.

As stated above, this is not the finalized schedule. More events will show up on the schedule as more people contact me. As usual, the schedule will have more events then the disc golf community in Kansas can support.

As of right now, the MIO will not be on the KDGA schedule. WYCO wasn't part of the schedule last year.

There is room on our forum for both NonKDGA Kansas events and out of state events to be posted.

Disc Golf in Kansas isn't dying. Disc Golf in Kansas is growing at an incredible rate. It is growing so fast in fact that we will not have enough weekends to meet the needs of all TD's. For the first time I guarantee we will have multiple events going on in different parts of the state.

I cannot imagine the Oz tour without them on the schedule. I just cannot get anyone to commit to running it.

Smitty,
Disc Golf in Kansas is growing at an incredible rate.
I agree with you 100%! Just the disc golf explosion in Manhattan, Ft. Riley & surrounding area (over the last 5 years) has been incredible to see.

Speaking of disc golf growth, I was talking to some newbies to the sport over the weekend... (no disrespect to them, we were all newbies at one point) To make a long story short, it would be helpful to people new to the sport, and/or new to our state, if the schedule also included the name of the City in which these tournaments take place.

For example:
April
13-15 GBO (Emporia)
28-29 Rock (Salina)

May
12 Capital City Classic (Topeka)
19th Little Apple Open (Manhattan)

June
9-10 Doo Dah (Wichita)
23 Cherry Street Disc Golf Championships (Winfield)
30th Pimpin Da Holes (Ransom)

Just a suggestion.

Thanks
Come to Manhattan. Play our courses.

Thanks for the suggestion Rick.

Jason-

It might be good to have email and phone number on the schedule also. Phone number for sure.

I can help get you a list of numbers that you don't already have.

I can put up what I have. I wasn't sure who wanted their (usually cell) number plastered out there. I started linking the threads from the forum for each tournament so people can get information from there if they don't normally visit the forum as well.
