Lakewood / Camp Webster Tournament Nov 17th
Re: Lakewood / Camp Webster Tournament Nov 17th
most of the casuals i see actually play thomas and not lakewood. think there is a general enjoyment of the challenge. you are right though. several holes will have to be modified. the webster staff wanted us to make a course that we would enjoy playing as well as the functional camp course

any other thoughts on the course or Smitty's appraisal? the more feedback we get the better opportunity for an excellent course vs a good course. i have a few ideas Austin and i have talked about but would like to get more opinions before i post them

I enjoy the wooded courses as much as any others, but until they are cleaned up, not much fun. I thought the back half we played weren't ready for golf. Too many no stance-no out lies. I do agree it will be much better when ready. My thoughts on particular holes are:
1. Great hole for my distance.
2. We could have teed off 100 ft. back in that nice clearing close to the bridge.
3. I hit basket 1st rd. then flew inches by 2nd rd. to a nice landing zone about 30 ft longer. I saw discs hit trees at top of gap and only be 20 ft out. Too short.
4. Played tough for my distance. Probably a routine 3 after a few more rounds to learn the shots.
5. Good hole if water wasn't so close. Have to play safe now. Could be a shortcut for birdie with a little help.
6. Played pretty tough for us old guys, but will get a lot easier with more play. Smitty may be right about too short. I only saw one drive go past the pin. I guess we played safe.
7. No hole right now.
8. More cleaning.
