The plan is to do the raffle drawing at Monkey Island Open. That will be 1 week after the last food drive event. If you are not going to play Monkey Island Open, you may want to send you goodies to Rusco if you have something for the raffle.

Don't have to be present to win for the raffle do you? Celebrating my birthday that day...

Well, will the first name drawn have first pick of the goodies? If pironix is not present, and his name is drawn, should he submit which Items he would prefer in order, or be forced to take the last available package?

I will draw a name for each item. The people will not get to pick. That will be the easiest way for me to do it.

That's not as cool. I didn't buy 30 raffle tickets to win my own item, or a few discraft discs.

I don't really know what you want me to do. It doesn't matter who has the most or fewest tickets in the box. Whoever is drawn first will get the basket. Whoever is drawn second will get something else. The list will be decided before the drawing takes place.

I don't understand how it changes how cool the raffle is.

Giving a choice wouldn't be fair to those who can't attend the event. If you have 30 tickets in there, it sounds like you have multiple chances to win each item. It seems like the order of prizes would work fine either way. For those who only bought one ticket and win, they should be happy. One way they know they won't win the basket because they already won something and they only bought one ticket. The other way, everyone knows they won't win the basket because it's already been won. Saving the best prize for last is more dramatic.

That's fine I suppose, because we do want to keep it fair. Reverse order would be cool, but it may punish those who bought multiple tickets, (not just me, Jake too) But who knows, The last item up for the raffle may be worth more than the value of a basket...

I do however think it would be really cool maybe next time we do something like this, to have people be able to pick out what they want in order that their name is drawn. When they buy a ticket, just fill out a preference sheet. Do the raffle at Beloit where most people will be, but still not have to be present to win.

That may not be a very good idea, just seeing how you guys feel about it. We really should hammer down how we're going to run our illegal raffles!

I suppose as we do more of these food drive events, people will have less and less cool stuff to donate, so it might not matter at all.
