Re: 19th Wichita IceBowl Jan 25th
Went out to the course tonight to post some flyers and get the keys to the building. They only had keys to the double doors. So while we can get out through the door in the middle of the building, you'll have to come in towards the North end.
When I was checking the course, I noticed over half of the flags had been pulled! The pattern was completely random. The ones in the wide open were still there while the ones that were hidden were gone! Luckily I had some extras. I ended up using every last one I had. I was out in the cold wind for over 2 hours. With the cold weather tomorrow, we should be good. Someone might bring some more flags just in case.
While I was out there, I made a couple of minor course changes:
*Hole 16: Was 366' I moved it up 30' to give a couple of over the top shots for anyone daring/crazy enough to try that. But I think now it will have a little better chance at a birdie, though 4's & 5's will be much more common. This hole & number 1 are the two tough holes.
*Hole 17: This was an open shot. I moved it 40' shorter. Was 290', now about 250'. Now there is a tree to throw an anny mid or putter around or a spike hyzer over it all. I think the back nine has a few too many lefty holes. I'll move this over some to give it a better line.
Thanks to Bud for cleaning the course up!

Fox & Hound has added sponsorship to the event! This will mean added prizes to the payout and perhaps the raffle as well!

Re: 19th Wichita IceBowl Jan 25th
We have some volunteers that'll be helping this event run smooth. Should have no problem getting your basket on the course.
We'll have plenty of handwarmers and probably some hot coffee. Full kitchen is a great bonus!
Confirmed: We have a lot of sponsorship from Fox & Hound & Disc Golf U!
Had several new players who haven't even played league yet say they want to come play this event. Hope to see all your faces tomorrow!

Big thanks to all the ACDGC folks for a great ice bowl event! I especially enjoyed the flicker-friendly course! That's a cool park. When's the perm going in?
Good chili and awesome brownies Robin!

Ice bowl was fun...THIS IS A THANK YOU FROM ME AND MY BROTHER TO EVERYONE WHO CAME OUT SUNDAY. AND A REALLY BIG THANKS TO EVERYONE THAT HELPED RUN THE EVENT. THE SCHOENHOFERS, MATTINGLY, MILLER-TIME AND ROBIN REALLY MADE THE EVENT AWESOME. THE COLD WEATHER GOT CANCELLED OUT BY ALL GOOD TIMES WITH GOOD FRIENDS. THE WHOLE DAY WAS FUNNY. SHOTS OF THE DAY HAVE TO GO TO CONVERS WITH A LEFT-HANDED-TUNNEL-SHOT-PARK-JOB AND MIRANDA WITH THE SNAKE-ROUTE CTP ON 15... (INSANE). ROBIN HOOKED IT UP WITH DELICIOUS COOKIES AND HULL WON BEST FACIAL-HAIR WITH HIS "I'VE STARRED IN ADULT FILM, WHAT OF IT?" STYLE GO-TEE.

Thanks to all that supported the Ice Bowl! Still crunching the numbers, but I'll get your scores posted now. My wife Didi was a huge help keeping things organized. Same for Randy & Robin; thanks for the help! Buddy helped layout the killer course and cleaned it up before the tourney. Crispin did up the nice course maps & flyers. Scott Miller came through with $440 worth of Fox & Hound prizes. Andy Miller, Kyle Firner, Scott, & Randy got baskets out on the course. Bob was a huge help printing everything up and getting things started. Thanks to Mark Yearout & DJ's Stephanie Lowe & Dave Jacobson for making it out to play with us. Lastly, thanks to of you who braved the cold (24 degree high), brought baskets & food, and donated to those in need!

Re: 19th Wichita IceBowl Jan 25th
I runned it allright. I'll announce the total after I've went over our my report with the other board members. The ACDGC may be adding to the total.
From the looks of it, despite worse weather, fewer players, fewer mulligans sold, bigger payouts, we had no problem beating our total from last year's record breaking $1500. As with previous Wichita Ice Bowl's, 100% of all profits made are going to the Food Bank. Thanks for making it happen.

Re: 19th Wichita IceBowl Jan 25th
Here are the payout amounts. I had the report done just after the event; the donation amount will be posted soon. One mistake on the payouts was in the advanced division. Adkins name was on intermediate, so advanced got paid out one player less. Sidenote: Adkins had the hot 2nd round of the tourney with 49.
