Deep inside this spreadsheet are the guts that spit out PDGA ratings. When the dust settles, I hope to provide every player who has three or more KDGA rounds a "Local Player Rating." This LPR can be blended with any PDGA rated rounds to give us the KPR or Kansas Player Rating: a very accurate rating of how each golfer has played this season.
Your rating will only work if the players all play the same course every time. It will not take into account course length, foliage, and elevation.

What I am saying is that the computer doesn't know that a 49 at Blue Valley compared to a 49 on 18 holes of normal Cherry Street.

You actually would need to find a local player rating for each event. Then you could take the local rating and average it. To bad Harv and Dave never played handicap league in Winfield last summer. I have local player ratings for all locals.

Dude you are a freaking stud!

Nobody outside of Mike and I probably understand the amount of time you put into that.

I am amazed! How are you going to keep up like this when you are able to work and play disc golf?

Whoa!!! That's pretty much mind blowing. How long would it take to look up PDGA round ratings, calculate local player ratings on a round by round basis from KDGA tournaments, input all the info, and weight everything correctly to come up with a KDGA rating.... for 300+ players??? I have no idea, but it looks like a 40 hour work week. That's just a ton of data.

Should be very accurate too. Sure, it could be a little off for people with no PDGA rating and less than half a dozen 2011 rounds. I would think that for people with many non-PDGA KDGA rounds, the KDGA rating is more accurate. 8)

Thanks for positive feedback! It was a lot of work, but then I do have a LOT of time.Still need our disc golf community's help with some things...

The goal is to provide KDGA tournament players who aren't PDGA members a working rating. So if you have a PDGA rating and haven't played a KDGA event that wasn't also a PDGA event, you may not find your name on here. That's OK, you already have a rating. For everyone else, pretty please...

1. Check yourself out! PUSH HERE Make sure all your rounds are accounted for. If there are some missing, please PM me or post here.

Pro Tip: To find yourself, click anywhere in the document. Then press Ctrl and F at the same time. Type your name in the search box that appears and press enter. Try different spellings or parts of your name before assuming you aren't on the list.

2. I need the Pools breakdown from Doo Dah. I can't extrapolate round ratings without knowing which divisions played which course each round.

3. Hopefully Pitt results will be in after the PDGA ratings update in a week or so. So patience there too please.

Will you change it to 1963 or 1920 doubles? I want to play with RB or Andy.

Good job getting the info out for everyone. Now for all the questions. Will the K ratings be THE number, or are they negotiable? When do they get locked in? While most will not change in the next month or so, a player with only 2 rounds could change considerably with 1 or 2 more events played.

After a quick scan through the list, I only see a few mis-rated players. Old Man Paulsen's k rating is over 20 more than PDGA. The lower is probably most accurate. JD is playing at least 20 better than his, but that's 8 months of improvement.

I see several with only 2 rounds, probably their home course, that look too high for their actual playing level.

Looks like lots of good match ups possible. Should we wait till closer to tournament to submit teams for approval?
thanks for all the work. Buddy
