I was not really sure what that was when I signed up, I probably should have I don't play open but was wondering the same thing can I do it when I get there?

gapuryear wrote:I noticed when signing up for the GBO online, the option for the Random Draw Skins match says *Amateurs Only. Does this mean open players will not be in the drawing for the skins match? Or just that they can't add a raffle ticket when signing up online? We will still be able to buy raffle tickets and buy the special discs that get our name into the raffle at the tournament right?
It has never been Am. only in the past. There has been an Open player in the finals the last 3 years. I will check into it. A change may have been made?

You will be able to buy as many tickets and CFR discs as you want all weekend.

11 Open spots
5 Masters
10 Advanced Masters
3 Advanced Grandmasters
2 Am women
1 Open Women

As we get closer to tourney time, if we have a spot left, we may do some shuffle the numbers a little. Most likely will not be a worry.

I have a question, I will be bringing my camper so is there a place I can park it at peter pan or the Jones courses? Or will the cops come by and ask me to leave? Thanks in advance.

People have and will most likely be camping at Jones Park. It will be primitive camping, there is no electricity or water where people camp. I don't know if people camp at Peter Pan or not, there is a huge parking lot that would be perfect.

I do know that there is a campground on highway 50 on the West side of town. It would be less then 5 miles from both courses.

We are just a month away from Teeing off at the biggest event Kansas has ever seen. Most reg. is closed, but we do still have a few spots left.

MPO 8
MM1 5

If you want to play and can play in either of these divisions DONT WAIT ANY LONGER!

Not sure if they are a sponsor but just a heads up. Got a pretty cheap room at the Days Inn with the PDGA discount. Double for 4ppl for 2 nights for $120. Indoor pool, etc. Just FYI for those that haven't made hotel plans yet

I haven't seen much info on the rest of the GBO events. Is there still bring your own doubles on Friday? Is there going to be a Dynamic Duel? If so, can we know who it will be? Is the players pack a surprise or can we know whats in it?
Is there a final 9 for the pros or anything like that so the ams can come watch or is it just the Skins Match?
Thanks in advance for the info! Can't wait!

I will try to answer all these and add a few more details.

Friday:
BYOP Doubles most likely at Jones East
Long Drive Qualifying Jones
Putting Qualifying Jones
Practice at the Country Club (There will be a small fee)
Video shoot will be happening. Teams are still in the works. Here are some names I have heard. EMac, Uli, McBeth, Nikko, Anthon, Avery, Doss, Barsby, Matty O. It will be a quality match-up featuring some of the best players in the world!

Saturday
Tourney play
Insane players party and last chance putting
Putting championships

Sunday
Tourney play
Random Draw Skins match probably on the ECC.
Awards

GlassBlownOpen.com should be updated soon.

Thanks for the info smitty. You should encourage the video shoot to have more than just 2 teams considering all the top talent that will be out there! If he had 6-8 guys on there CoolDaddySlickBreeze would sell a TON of dvds for that footage! Do you know anything about a start time for the video shoot and the BYOP doubles? Don't want to miss any of that! Thanks!

Don't know who is playing or the start time.

BYOP doubles will run from 1:00ish until 6:30ish.

I will post updates as results are finalized.
