2007 Oz Tour Stats

In 2007, we had 35 events.
1849 players attended.
An average of 53 players per event.

We had 130 members.
962 was the membership attendance.
That is 52% of the total attendance.

15 events were supertour events which totaled 1015 players.
The supertour events averaged 68 players each.
Membership attendance at supertours was 553 or 55%.

The largest field was 123 at the Glass Blown Open.
The most members at any event was 61 at Discs Unlimited Open (60 at The Rock).
The highest membership percentage at any event with more than 15 players was 84% in the Hot and Cold Classic.

The most points for the year, and in the KDGA history was 964 by Chris Smith.
Most events attended was 24 by Kevin Kaiser.
Most supertour events attended was 13 by Dustin Widener and Jason Adkins.
Most points on the supertour was 748 by Dustin Widener.

The highest point average per event was 118.0 by Trent Martin (1 event).
The highest point average per event with 5 or more events was 71.1 by Chad Garrison (7 events).
The highest point average per event with 10 or more events was 64.6 by Randy Brown (10 events).
The highest point average per event with 15 or more events was 53.2 by Michael Schoenhofer (16 events).

The closest points races were in the Juniors and Masters divisions.
The regional points winners were region 1: Don Mordecai, region 2: Nate Martin, Region 3: Austin Streit, Region 4: Chris Smith, Region 5: Tom Vierthaler.
Most miles.... had to be DM4!

Next year, we'll use the half point system.

For example, out of 10 members that played in an event, 4 players tie for 2nd place. Add the points for the 4 places and use the average: 9+8+7+6=30. 30 / 4 = 7.5. Each player would get 7.5 points for that event.

The half point will not be noticed because after all the events are totaled, the .5 that any players may have will round up to the nearest point.

For the spreadsheet, this isn't any extra work at all. For me to figure out what last years totals would have been without the "bonus points" for ties, it is too much. I did figure up Smitty's. He would have had 960 instead of 964. Most players, though, had more bonus points than that.

Looks like we did a great job of meeting, and even exceeding, the success of the 2007 season! 2009 will likely break the number of events and total points records.
