Will the entire tourney be at Lake Shawnee on the normal course?

by carlbren21
Yes. We will be adding several new holes (20 total holes) to the original course and/or modifying the original holes to make it play a little tougher for the first round. The second round will be played backwards from the teepads. Example= hole 18 tee pad to 16 basket, 17 pad to 15 basket, etc.... Both courses will be more challenging than the normal birdie or die lake course...

Sweet, I've never played Lake Shawnee backwards. That sounds pretty cool. 8)

I like it! It plays about 5 strokes harder that normal lake. You can still shoot under, but definately more challenging.

There will be some alterations to this format concerning location of the teepads. All of these will be covered in the players meeting, and everyone should get notes and a map to follow. Hope to sell you all there!

So it's two rounds of 20 holes? Once forward, and once backward?

because here I come and I'm bringing back up!

Okay, enough of the silly talk. This will be my fist tournament so I'm pretty excited about making the trek to T-Town, The Capital City, etc.

Do you guys have any guess of how many people will be participating Sunday?

No matter what my crew is going to have a good time in our first ever tourney (okay, one guy might have played in a tourney before).

To tell you the truth, I'm not sure how many will be there. We don't have pre-registration for this one. I'm glad to hear that you will make this your first tourney! Where are you coming from?

Phil Schmidt has a small selection of KDGA discs for the members. If you have not received your KDGA Disc that goes along with the KDGA membership pack see him.

Thanks to everyone for coming out to our tournament.... even though I couldn't be there  All in all, it ran very smoothly with 42 people showing up. There was an ace hit on probably the most improbable hole on the course (16 pad to fourteen basket) by Josh Luinstra.... but he didn't pay the ace fund :x :x :x :x Anyway, here are the results and hope to see all of you at Pomona!
