I was just wondering what this course is like? Looks like a good time...and for this event do you have to pay for parking?
A great shot is when you try it, a good shot is when you don't have the guts to pull it off.

I so want to come up for this, but all the leave slots at work are filled for that weekend.

Zach, the course sits in the shadow of the Tuttle Creek Dam. It's flat as a pancake and moderately wooded, but a lot of fun. The front nine has one 750'+ super bomb hole. A bit more water threat on the back nine.

I believe there's a $4.20 charge (wonder how and why they came up with that number ) per vehicle to enter the park for the day, unless that vehicle has an annual KDWP pass.

Yeah there is a parking charge for all the vehicles to enter the park. I will look into what it costs, but I know it's less than $5. I went ahead and charged $5 less than what I was originally going to for the entry, to try and make up for it. If you have a anual KDWP pass, you are good to go. They are only $18 or something, and get you into all the Kansas State Parks.

Scarpfish is also right about his description of the course. I really enjoy playing here. So much, I run the tournament even though I live 2.5 hours away.

I posted a link to the course map up at the top of the page.

SNG has been telling me about some of the sweet plastic he is getting in, AMS are not going to want to miss this for sure. It has probably been 4 years since I have played this course, looking forward to it for sure.

We should try to hit Ft. Riley on the way up to the course, add another one to the played list.

I knew the gateway putters were coming today, and when I went to get them off the porch, the discraft discs were here too!

It's just a few weeks away, hope to see you there!

The park is both in front of and behind the dam. The part with the disc course is in the 'River Pond' area on the south side of K-13. You cannot see the actual reservoir from the course. The water in play is actually a large pond which I believe is filled through the dam's spillway.

This should help you find the Disc Golf Course at the River Pond area just north of Manhattan at Tuttle Creek State Park.

I have not played here in several years. It will be interesting to see how the course has changed. Are all the alt. pins still playable and are there still 18 baskets?
