How much should entry fees be for Norton this year??

I think they should be about normal for a one day event.

I think they should be lower ($10.00 or more) since drive distance is so great!

Norton Open, August 8th, 2009!!!

Post by _dm4 »

August 8th is on a SATURDAY!! SO if you like Saturday tourneys, this may be for you!

Entry fee's have not been decided. If you want, answer the poll, or write your opinion here and I will decide on the fees later, based on the data received!

First 25 people will get a custom stamped ESP or Z disc!!! (We will have Stalkers!)

Not sure if I want to make trophies this year, so let me know if you want them. If not, I won't bother. :)

There will be added cash in the pro divisions, but not sure how much yet. I will keep you posted as the money comes in!

There will be all day CTP's in all divisions!!! (discs mainly, but also, a discraft sweatshirt for someone, a couple of discraft hats, some coffee mugs, some golf towells, etc.)

Looking at the poll results, we will go with regular prices for this tourney.

$40.00 Pro/Masters
$35.00 Advanced
$30.00 Am

At least 3 players are needed for other divisions.

Sponsors now include...

Ace
J & R Liquor
Rural Telephone
Norton Travel and Tourism

Birdie
Gils Barber Shop

Par
Bullock, Inc.
Deanna Braun Insurance
Valley Hope
Natoma Corporation
New Age Industrial
Jay’s Woodwork Shop

This means we will be adding at least $250.00 Cash to the pro divisions!

Tourney update...

We had our pre tourney, Friday night round. Was fun! Chad (from Norton), James (from Norton), me (from Norton), and Leo (um, not from Norton, but from around Topeka somewhere)! James got four birdies in a row (3-6)! Dm4 parred 15! Leo hit an Ace on 3 (with a blue disc, I think) and also birdied l-o-n-g 18  (I believe also with a blue disc)! Nice shootin Leo! Chad, well, Chad is going to play extra well tomorrow!

It was nice and windy! Gotta love Western KS! Hope to see lots of people tomorrow! If not, me and Leo can split the added cash! :)

No way. No how.
I fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks once, but I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10,000 times.

Everyone got a Z or ESP disc in their players pack. Leo and Tracy won the CTP's in the Open Division and James and Larry won in the Int. Division. James and Larry also won the all day, hole 3, CTP! Way to go guys!

Kyle (da man) won the throw off for the Ace Fund in the pro division, and Chad Gasper won it in the ams. Can you believe nobody hit an ace this year??? Can't remember how long it's been since that happened!

It was a ton of fun handing out all those prizes! Thanks to all who drove to the ends of the earth!

Yeah, good sponsors!

Um, you know what? Somebody very high up in the community must have complained about liability (not me for sure) and there were no rides or trucks at all! There was also no basket so I had to call to request they put back basket #1, but the guy was very nice and went down and put it back in on Friday. I love throwing with that roller coaster and other stuff in the fairway! It might all be in the past!
