If the season was to end today. The following people would be in based on points.

Open
1 Chris Smith 1007 Region 4
2 Crispin Carrasco 867
3 Leo Deprato 655 Region 2
4 Brandon Nelson 648
5 Tracy Ruder 635 Region 1
6 Austin Streit 576 Region 3

Masters
1 Randy Brown 599
2 Tom Vierthaler 432 Region 5
3 Mark Martin 372
4 Darren Bottom 324

Grandmasters
1 Harvey Barger 320
2 Buddy Kassner 312

Advanced Am.
1 Ben Wiggins 647 Region 4
2 Bo Carrasco 586
3 Zach Young 486 Region 2
4 Andy Lynn 458 Region 3
5 Adam Mosher 405
6 Brady Younger 359 Region 1
7 Shane Crisler 355
8 Phil Schmidt 337
9 Scott Haynes 328

Amateur
1 Phil Jackson 505
2 Jason Adkins 442
3 Chris Tyler 258
4 Jeremy Kindy 216
5 Mike Junod 187
6 Don Zimmerman 165
7 James Fawcett 162
8 Lloyd Majors 162
9 Josh Luinstra 154
10 Scott Miller 127
11 Jerry Powell 127
12 Brian Nomura 113

Am. Masters
1 Ron Klein 262
2 Tom Thompson 196
3 Tom Osborn 181
4 Dave Wismer 105

Women
1 Robin Reimer 241
2 Miranda Fulton 101

Junior
1 Charles Dickinson Jr. 111

Looks like Ryan Beisner is in position to be the top points earner for a Region 5 Am. That would get him a birth into the finals.

Looks like Banger is in the driver seat for the Frizz-Rocker Clause. He has played 12 events after the DD Open. 2K is on his heals with 10 events. Mike will have to check the official numbers to let us know for sure.

The info that Mike posted about the last chance qualifiers was not updated, it was off last years schedule. We will still expand the field by 1 player/division based on their play at the last two events. The Elks club in Salina and the Round-up in Wichita. Last year Tyler Patzner became a member at Ellis and qualified.

Here is the updated info:

#1 Tournament Qualifiers.

Elks Club in Salina and Round-up in Wichita are the last 2 events of the season. Current KDGA points will be posted prior to each of these events. The then current top third players will be posted in red on the points thread. The players who are not in the top third at that time (BEFORE the event) will be eligible for an automatic bid through the tournament. The lowest score from each division (from those not in the top third before the event) will get an automatic bid for the finals that cannot be lost. NOTE: It is possible for those listed in the top third to fall out of the top third.

#2 Top Third Qualifiers.
After the final regular season event in Wichita, the top third in each division will be calculated. Rounding up or down as needed. Example: 20 in a division gets 7 in the top third. 19 gets 6.

#3 Divisional Qualifiers.
Each region's top points finisher for pro (open & masters) & amateur (advanced, intermediate, junior, women) are qualified for the finals. The top pro & am finisher is determined for each region. If they haven't already qualified by #1 or #2 above, they become qualified.

#4 Frizz Rocker Clause.
The player who has played the most events and who has not qualified through #1, #2, or #3 above is qualified for the finals.

The Awards banquet will take place in Wichita this year. Mike is working on getting us a reasonable location. The KDGA normally covers the price of a meal and the players pay for their own drinks. ALL KDGA MEMBERS are welcome at the banquet and encouraged to come.

If anyone in Wichita has a good connection, the KDGA would gladly take your help.

The Match-play will take place in Wellington. The course has a good mix of short and long holes.

Reasons for Wellington:
1- It was Region 4's year to host the finals.
2- We have played all the 18 hole courses with tee pads (Oak and Herman).
3- We have played some of the other 18 hole courses (Colwich) without tees.
4- Many of the other 18 hole courses we have don't have tee pads (Derby and Pecan Grove)
5- We need 18 holes to make this work.

The only concern with Wellington would be a ton of rain or snow. This time of year the snow could be more of a concern. If the weather has been bad or the forecast is looking rough we will make a decision by the Wednesday of the finals week and stick to it.

Looks like I'm going to have to play my butt off or win a last chance qualifer if I want in that.( And I want in it). I got a lot of playing ahead of me or maybe my agent can get something done for me.

Looking at the scores, you will not make it based on score. You will have to win one of the last chance spots. That doesn't mean that you have to win your division at the tourney. You could come in last, and if all the people in your division that beat you were already qualified, you would get the the berth.

That sounds like a good plan to me or I could go around and break some peoples legs either way I'm getting in.

Well, that is good and bad that the info hadn't been updated. Bad, cuz i wasted 100 bucks heading up to Emporia sunday just to try and win that spot because I signed up for the KDGA too late and wont make it on points this year. Good, cuz i played awful and still have another chance to get in, and on my home course at that

Nov:
7 Elks Club Salina Maceman
14 Round-Up Wichita PDGA C

You didn't really waste anything but $100. These are the two last chance qualifiers - not Emporia.
I fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks once, but I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10,000 times.
