I don't know who Junod was partnered with but I don't have a K-Rating for him. This is a little concerning. If you show up tomorrow for the Main Event and I can't verify your team is 1880 or less, we have a major problem. I love it that teams are coming out of the woodwork but on a handicapped event, everyone needs to be Okayed. If you are coming to play REC, see you tomorrow! Otherwise, PM, post, or call me 316-651-7512

If Tull is still available I would like to be his partner. I have an approved 925 rating. My previous potential partner is unavailable and I would really like to play in this event.

I am looking for a partner to be able to play tomorrow as a rec player. Just joined Air Cap DG club at the last membership drive a few weeks ago. That was my first tournament. Shot a 63.

This event is going to be a blast. Wish I could make it. If it wasn't for the football game, I was thinking about asking Eric to come play.

I hope everyone has a good time!

Thanks to everyone for coming out! Y'all made my day. There was a Disc Golf Mom sighting!!

I think I had a lot of fun because I hurt now :P . Sick shooting J Dilla and Flatey! -9 in the wind blew the field away.

Thanks to everyone who donated Gear (Snodgrass, Smitty, Crisler, Kingpin, Fluty), those were some swole up CTP/Putt packs! Next time I will try to spread them out a little better though the different formats limit things a bit.

Sorry to Rec for not getting you in the ace pot. You are welcome, Rec, for not getting in the Ace pot.

I can't believe the guys that won both the Alt Shot Side Pot and the Tough Shot Booty didn't cash. I thought those sections would predict a winner. Plus the two highest combined K-Ratings didn't cash. Highest individual K-Rating in the money is Kintzel @ a 961. Hmmm, got some stuff to think about for next year. A little different to see R/B, Smitty, Kingpin, and yours truly ALL on the bottom half of the results page.

If you weren't there, you didn't see Crispin's pimp tourney stamp and trophy designs. Exclusive, yo!

Kindy-Kane, Thanks for running perty well everything today. I think the best thing I did was get out of the way

Thanks to my gal Britt for lining up the sponsors, printing cards, making posters, facebooking, running errands, packaging the CTPs, handling the cash, and generally putting up with me.

David Blackwell and Brandon Sarmiento, if you read this, get ahold of me.

Figure an ace into the mix for the side pot winners and my mind is boggled! How did the not win?

I think a lot of people are much better then their current K rating. Dropping a couple low and high scores might give you a better gauge. At least dropping rounds that are way below average. In this format, teams that have both members between 940 and 960 have the obvious advantage, and that is fine. I know there were holes that Kindy could just not reach. This eliminated me from several holes in tough, alt, and switch shot formats. The teams mentioned above had to throttle back to not blow by many of the holes. That is the what is sweet about the format.

I can think of an ob and 2 grip locks that cost us as many as 4 strokes. We both blasted early trees on a best shot hole and ended up with a 4. We eliminate those and we are well into the cash. We also never made a long putt or had any tree love. I can't think of a single hole that I had a putt at on switch or alternating shot. Still I feel that we could have easily been in the cash.

I am sure yourself, Crispin, and RB all have similar stories.

The event played out exactly how you expected. A tight battle with the emphasis put on the lower rated players performance. It was awesome. Now people have 2 reasons to mark it to Newton next year. Throw in a PDGA early season B-Tier and you have a hat trick.

JD and Casey were my pick. Casey has been steadily improving, especially of late, and JD is just on fire! I can't believe those scores in that wind.

Thanks to the Swede for a totally new tournament experience. A lot of work went into this. The fact that so many people embraced something different says a lot.

I did expect that some of the more balanced teams would have an advantage with the tough formats. That's what makes it tough. I think the 1880 concept works best with best shot doubles, but best shot is such an overused format that I'm sure it was refreshing to introduce some more strategic alternatives.
