Winfield Food Drive Sat. Feb 25th

Post by smitty »

Format:
1 round of 18 holes. How you play them is up to you and your buddies. Doubles, singles, money round, Ript, Cali, it doesn't matter just play some disc golf on a kick butt course and have some fun.
***There will be several CTP prizes available. These must be won on a first shot (No Cali/Mulligan shots allowed)

Cost:
$20 you will get a KDGA Food Drive disc, raffle ticket for the basket, and lunch.
$5 extra if you want to be part of the CTP prizes.

Course:
Will be a temporary course playing in Island Park and Black Creek Nature trails. I designed it, tweaked it, and have a few more tweaks to add this year. This course has everything you could want in a disc golf course. Bombs, Pitch and Putt, Elevation, Water holes, 2 shot holes, and tunnels.

Still looking for CTP sponsors.

Current CTP sponsors:
Smitty
WVDGA
KDGA

You can add DD to the list of sponsors. I have a box of goodies coming that will help us generate even more money for the Winfield Food Pantry.

Don't miss you chance to play a championship caliber course that is only open 1 day a year.

1 Week!

The course is looking as good as ever. The Lagoon is basically overflowing, so the water shots are going to be scarier then ever.

See you all in Winfield.

The weather is looking to be awesome for this weekend. It's showing 50's to 60's which is much better then we have had the last couple of years.

CTP List-
Smitty Discraft Discs
WVDGA Lots of Awesomeness
DD Some sweet stuff
BoBoe Cold Hard Cash

Hope you can make it to Winfield and help us make some money for the Food Pantry. You will be hard pressed to find something more fun to do on Saturday.

Went down to the trails yesterday and did some looking around. Everything is in really good shape. I also plan on adding an additional hole, like none that I have ever played before, could be kind of interesting.

See you all on Saturday.

This 2 threads, one event stuff needs to die an unmerciful death.

Kindy and I will bring 2 buckets. I might be able to rustle up a couple of relative newbs and/or something sweet for after some chili.
Throw Millennium.

I little windy and a chilly breeze, but I think everyone who played had an Awesome time. I really wish that Winfield could put that course in on a full time bases. I know all the Winfielders would be much better golfers. It really is a complete course with all the shots that you could want. The only thing it is really missing in the smashing hyzer and anhyzer shot. If it has any negatives, it is probably all the dead nuts straight shots.

First I need to give a huge thanks to all my WVDGA boys! Without you guys I would have been running around like crazy, and couldn't have pulled this event off. Shan, Cliff, Boebo Fett (is that better), Chris Tyler, Daldo, Burley, Ben, MonDoore, Twitch, Z-man, Artimus Prime. You guys kick butt! Helping sign people in, bringing more food then we could eat, cleaning up the course. THANKS!!!

Second big thanks to Maceman. Taking care of all the KDGA stuff. Ordering all the KDGA Discs, Food Drive Discs, Shirts, and all the other little things you do that go unnoticed.

Thanks to all the people who hooked-up the CTP prizes: WVDGA, Dynamic Discs, Maceman, KDGA, Boebo.

Last of all thanks to the 25 people that made it out to play and help raise some money for the Winfield Food Pantry.

I wish that more people would think about running Food Drives next year. I love the fact that we just get a group of people together that love frisbee and enjoy each others company. While we are having a good time we are raising money and giving to the community. I really think it is Awesome that we are able to donate $18/person.

Participants:
Shan "Trucker Clock" Mann
Brandon "Maceman" Mace
Chris "Lorenzo Von Matterhorn" Tyler
