Summer Showdown - July 25-26 - Larned

Ok so it's never too early to start getting buzz going for a tournament, so on July 25th and 26th in Larned we'll have the Summer Showdown sponsored by Duck's Flying Discs, Dynamic Discs, Innova champion discs and the Larned Disc Golf Club. If you haven't played our course yet, I don't blame you because our baskets are shotty at best BUT as soon as we get the call from DD we will have 19 brand new shiny DD Veteran baskets. If you have played our course, thank you and we'll be making a few changes to some of the holes to utilize what trees we do have out here and hopefully make the course flow a little better. The tournament will consist of 2 rounds of 20 holes for singles on Saturday and really wanting to have doubles Sunday with emphasis being placed on MIXED doubles, so yes that'll be man/woman teams...we'll still have pro and am teams but I'd like to see the ladies come out and throw some plastic. There are rumors of a DD Recruit basket and possibly Ranger bag being thrown in the mix as well...

The powers that be worked with me to move the State Championships in Beloit so I could have this tournament during the Pawnee County Fair, so there will be activities for everyone all weekend (beer garden downtown for those of you interested) so help me put on a great showing so we can make this a yearly event (and so the powers that be don't regret moving the Beloit weekend)...Saturday's field is limited to 100 and Sunday is limited to 40 teams...I'm working with DD to get a sweet player pack for the ams and I'm starting now to try and get added cash for the pros...Duck has been hard at work making a flyer from the rough drafts it looks pretty BA, so be on the lookout, I'll post it here as soon as it's finished and pre registration will be up soon!

Registration is now up and running for both events...we'll get the flyer posted on here Duck did a great job...all ams will receive a tournament stamped disc with a design by Crispin at Handeye...molds will include moonshine freedoms, lava felons, moonshine felons, lucid felons, and the new lucid justice from DD. Get signed up early field is capped at 100!

Come down to Larned July 25th and 26th...I have a new EMac Ranger bag to raffle on the 25th...then on the 26th the winners of the coed division will both receive a Ranger bag each! BUT gonna need teams to sign up so guys grab your lady...ladies grab your guy and come out...should be fun! Also there will be festivities down town and at the fair grounds for the Pawnee County Fair.

Come out to Larned this weekend for our first ever KDGA sanctioned event! Even if you can only make it for one day, Saturday and Sunday are two separate events. Brand new baskets on a redesigned course, the guys from Ducks will be on hand to sell some plastic and handle payouts, hope to see you there.
