There have been around 20 people at Wednesday night league even though a lot of students are gone. Two new courses in the works.

Good times!

Thanks for getting the Manhattan area news up on the board.

When are you going to stop the league for the year? What course are you playing at?
The 2 new courses going to be baskets or object?

I'm not sure if league ever ends. I guess if it snows too much. It's on Wednesdays @ River Pond - State Park at the lake around 5:30. There is a fee to enter the park but you can get a year pass at the county office.

There are two 9 hole basket courses in the works, Fairmont and Warner parks. There is some info on Warner on this site it just hasn't moved over to the Manhattan news yet. There is a Parks and Rec Advisory Board meeting Monday the 6th at Manhattan City Hall @ 4:30 and all local disc golfers are encouraged to come for support.

The Fairmont course just needs hole sponsors. There is also a re-formation of the Manhattan Disc Golf Club happening. Stop by some Wednesday for details.

1. Here's the basics of the league that Kewley's talking about.
a. A dude named Jake runs the thing.
b. Played at Tuttle Creek's River Pond Course (however we found a temp location while the Stampede set-up was in the way). But it will be back at River Pond starting next week (July 8, 2009)
c. Played on Wednesday Nights
d. Shotgun start at 5:45ish
e. Random doubles (flip discs until you get a partner)
f. Pretty hearty crowd so I'd say it will be going strong until the dead of winter.
g. Pretty cool dudes (and a few gals) so you'll have a good time.

2. Both courses he's talking about are going to be permanent courses with real baskets.
a. Kewley and I are working through the details of a getting a course in the City of Manhattan's Warner Park.
(follow this link to the other page on this KDGA site where I describe it http://kansasdiscgolf.com/forum/viewtop ... f=2&t=3132
b The other course is being spear headed by a different core group guys. It will be located in Riley Counties Fairmont Park.
