Get This!

If enough people show up to make it interesting, at tomorrow night's Warner Park doubles league I'm going to give away a BRAND NEW LSDiscs hat for FREE!

I'm going to do it by a quick, easy and kind of crazy CTP contest that you're all going to dig! You're not going to want to miss this, plus you might even win the hat!

The hat looks exactly like this.

Bren & the boys in Topeka are getting $18 for these ---> http://bit.ly/9BDW05

THE ONLY CATCH IS YOU MUST PLAY LEAGUE THE NIGHT I GIVE IT AWAY ($2).

The good news is Warner is totally playable directly following a heavy rain.

The bad news is it was just Rick & I and he wouldn't do the “crazy CTP” so I don't know if I “dig” it.

In other words, the hat will be up for grabs at a later date because giving it away tonight would not have been interesting.

Yes, a day full of thunder, lightening, heavy rain and flooding in town made for a very poorly attended league night tonight.

That's great news water runs off at Warner well.
All the other Manhattanite WEENIES are probably used to flat parks like River Pond and Fairmont that hold a lot of water. Who lets a little rain scare them off from a round of disc golf? Phaw! Wimps!

Yo Langton, why all the trash talking from you lately?

I suppose maybe you've not been getting enough sleep lately .... We'll just go with that.

Back in the day when I played disc golf we would play with water up to our waists, torrential winds, rainfall, and hail!!
Manhattanite disc golfers just aren't the same as they used to be. :(

It sounds like the majority of players would like to see league play on the following nights now that River Pond has been restored following the Country Stampede.

Monday – Fairmont 5:30
Tuesday – Warner 5:30
Wednesday - River Pond 6:00

Until further notice please show up and play some disc golf!

Maybe PurpleRick will do the "Crazy CTP" tomorrow?

Come on out to the Warner Park Disc Golf course on Tuesdays at 5:45 for the Flint Hills Bag Tag League.

Show your skills in a singles round each week that has participants battling it out for coveted bag tags. (try to get the lowest tag # you can).
In addition to the bag tags, each player present will also earn points towards a league Points Championship who will win a trophy at the end of the season!

Sound complicated? It's really not! Can't make it every week? You don't have to in order to stay in the thick of things.

Just come on out some Tuesday and ask questions, play a round with us to see if you want in, etc.
OR go to http://www.discgolfscene.com/leagues/kansas to read all about it.

SEE YOU THERE!

Is anyone still getting together for league in the frigid cold? I have never been able to make it to any leauge nights mostly because I was never available during afternoon hours. My schedule has opened up a little and I know I'M out there pretty regularly regardless of the weather so I was just wondering if/when/where people are getting together b/c I'm always eager for a round with someone new..... I read the Warner post about the 1st and 3rd Sundays. Is that going to carry over throughout the winter?
