SuperClass ShowDown___________Thomas Park______ Friday Nov.12th_____Check in 12:00 to 3:00 Pm

Come to Salina early golfers and get a glimpse of Thomas park by way of a SuperClass Shuttle Bus. Two Divisions...... Pro and Am. $20.00 per player , 100% payout to top third in each division . ( payout with credit vouchers from MaceMan Disc golf ) Disc used must be SuperClass approved. I,m sure Mace will have some on hand if you dont have one. This is going to be a fun annual event that I hope will grow in the future. Right now just establishing the root system!

Professor Harry Shimp is in charge of course design and promises a fun layout.
A traveling trophy will be given for overall low score.Winner gets his name on the brass, and upon return is given free entry fee for the following year.

Check in , ( 12:00 to 3:00 ) pay entry ,get score card, then take-off. must have at least three players in your group.
Awards will be given following day after Thomas park tournament awards.

I hope to see someone show up from each town to represent in this nostalgic cool way to spin plastic.

Professor Harry invited me out to go over the hole layout for the SuperClass event. This is what we came up with:

A par 67 / 21 hole layout.

Hole 1_____ stays the same but made a par 4 Hole 2 ___shortened alittle and made a par 4
hole 3 ____ shortened and angle changed Hole 4__ split into 2 holes(4a shot over ditch) (4b off the dike to 4 org.)
Hole 5-10 (wood holes) stay the same Hole 11__split into 2 holes ( 11a shot over ditch)(11b tight line to11org.
Hole 12 __ shortened Hole 13__same Hole 14__ shortened and made par 4 Hole 15__ shortened
Hole 16 - 17 __ stay the same Hole 18__ split into 2 holes(18a tricky shot into cove) (18b anhyzer to original pin)

It was a fun challenging round with the Zepher, and looks to be even more fun in November. Looking forward to seeing you there!

So, does that mean we play 21 holes?

I see how Salina schools are treating you Austin. 21 holes laid out should equal 21 holes.

Just curious if this would be a sanctioned event with PDGA Superclass ratings? Would be fun to get a rating in superclass....

This is Harry.

Excellent idea to sanction the Super Class Tourney.
If it is simply a matter of paying the PDGA $25, I will gladly spring for it.

Harry, you have to be certified to run a PDGA event, and a portion of the money per player goes to the PDGA. Some players would not attend this event because of having to pay the extra $10.00 because they are not members. I want to encourage all players in this first time SuperClass Tourney and not discourage anyone. Right now it,s about getting it started, perhaps later on after it,s established then we could talk "PDGA". This is about having a cool experience not about a rating!
