Hard core tour 2010 2011

Postby ranmatt » Thu Sep 16, 2010 7:26 pm

Are you a true hard core disc golfer?

Then prove it!

IT'S BACK AGAIN

Discinranmat is challenging all players to join his winter tour.

A series of mini events that will take place in the winter months of november 2010 --- february 2011

Saturday events will start at 1:30 in afternoon, Sunday events will start at 11:00, no matter what the weather condition (except lightning of course) and will take place at various courses in the area. One round will be played. All divisions will be offered as long as there are players wanting it.

The pro and the am player who attends the most events at the end of the tour will be titled hardcore player of the 2010 -2011 winter season.

LAST YEARS WINNERS SHARED OVER $300. THIS YEAR SHOULD BE EVEN BIGGER!

A one time $15.00 fee is required to join the tour to receive credit for each event. The $15.00 will get you on the tour and a new hot stamped disc with the 2010-2011 logo. Each event will have a entry fee of $20.00 for pro divisions and $15.00 for each am division. Pros will be paid in cash and ams in plastic.
We are also bringing back the Hutch Halloween Doubles! It will be the first event on the tour.
Chilli feed and glo doubles
($5.00 added to origional entry fee to help pay for food and glo sticks)

This is the projected schedule.

Here is the point system.
Hard core rules for 2010-1011

This year we will add a hot stamp disc to the entry fee. Each member will be charged an one time $15.00 fee to be placed on the tour. $10.00 will go toward the discs and trophies $5.00 will be added to the purse for each player. You must be a member of the tour to receive points awarded for each event. The open and am player who have the most points at the end of the tour will split the purse. In the event of a tie the player with the best score on the last event will be awarded the title hard core player of the year.

Here is how the points will be awarded for each event:

Each player will receive 1 point for completing the event. Then additional points will be based on the weather conditions of that day.

1 point if the Temp is below 32%

1 point if the wind speed is above 20 mph

2 points if it is raining during the round (drizzle will be considered rain.)

1 point if it is snowing

1 point if there is more than 1 inch of snow on the ground.

2 points if there is a layer of ice covering everything (following and ice storm)

All conditions will be factored in the point award so it is possible for an event to be worth 9 points if all the above conditions are met during the round. You will truly be a hard core player to complete a round on a day like this!
Let see if we can do it.

The top point pro player and the top point Am player will each get an even cut of the total prize purse. The purse will be figured as follows: $5.00 from each $15.00 tour entry fee paid by players, plus any ace fund money left over.

The first event is fast aproaching! Saturday 30 of Oct. seems to be popular day for disc golf in the area. If you are still up to it after the Winfeild event or any other that is in the area, come on out to Hutchinson. We will start serving the chilli and taking regestrations at 6 pm and starting about 8pm with the pro/am doubles. The Hutch halloween doubles has always been a good time hope to see everyone out there.

The hard core tour has been cancelled for the year 2010-2011 due to lack of interest. Perhaps it will be brought back next year if there is an indication of more interest. Josh L will be declaired the open winner and Susan M will be Am champion. The pot will be devided between those two. Thanks to the who did compete in the events.
