Hey Rob,

I'm curious how the Ticks will be at Longview. I was up there a year or two ago and I couldn't step a foot without having 50 or more ticks hop on for the ride.

Thanks,

Sorry for the late reply.

I worked in the woods pulling logs, etc for 7 hours two weeks ago and didn't get a single tick. The Corps Rangers were there with us and said they would be burning the underbrush in the next couple of weeks (stated a couple of weeks ago).

Ticks have been a problem in the past. My experience is, I avoid this course from 5/1 - 9/30 due to the ticks. This is why the tournament is in April to hopefully get in and out before it becomes too bad.

The course is also starting to get more foot traffic which is helping to beat down the paths, but it is still a fairly new course in KS woods.

So...I'm hopeful that won't be crazy bad, but I plan on using repellant.

The Corps of Engingeers burned the open areas and forest underbrush about three weeks ago. Looked like a scene from Mordor. This past weekend a bunch of people were out at the course and it is greening up very nicely.

DD Kansas City is also running a C-Tier in Lawrence on Saturday, 4/11. Come to Lawrence / Perry area and get two tournaments in one weekend.

Anybody in the neighborhood wanting to hit this tourney? I'll have a ForeFather's hangover but I'd like to get up there and check it out. Only a handful of spots left.
Throw Millennium.
