Re: New Discraft
yeah! The new toys are out to the public! Discraft is already feeling the push of demand! Got to use it at the Lewisville tourney and birdied hole 18 long at LL.Woods. Strong headwind, well over 400 ft., pin high 15' right
. This is one impressive driver.

Re: New Discraft
I'm really coming to appreciate the Focus putter more and more. I haven't moved it to my primary putter, but that's only because of my familiarity with Challengers and before them...Aviars. The Focus is slightly thinner and stable(not overstable) in fact, I'm using one into headwinds more successfully than my challengers. The lower profile makes it feel more like an old school mid in your hand than a putter. As an approach, it seems to hold the release angle very well.
I think it's just a matter of time before it replaces my Challengers entirely, and I suggest that for anyone searching for a putter to fit a smaller grip, give one of these a try.

So i was doing so looking on ebay today and saw some ESP magnets??? All lightweight tho......anybody know where a guy can get some HEAVY max weight ones or anybody thrown these??? Are they junk compared to the regular hard magnetos???
Re: New Discraft
I know of a place that probably has them. Don't know how they fly?

Re: New Discraft
Looking forward to throwing a couple of new toys. While at Vibram I got a chance to visit with Cam Todd...He thought the fastest thing he'd thrown was the Hurricane,a modified Force mold(Force SS) marketed by DGA. Right now it's only available as a fundraiser disc. Look for it's stock release sometime in October.
The other is the newest Ace Race proto which is also receiving good reviews. Mine should arrive at the end of this week and I'll post a review then.
Thrown the new Z Nuke yet? It's about to be released in the durable Z-Glow plastic(like the Stalker and Buzz)! Available weights are also getting lighter as time goes by...The Z Nuke is more reliable and durable than it's brother in ESP. It also seems to be a little faster because of tweaks to the mold which permitted the use of the Z plastic!
Good stuff!

Re: New Discraft
New toys! All right, most of you know I'm not real big on Buzzes...that being said, I really like the newest edition, the Z SS Buzz. This is E-Mac's signature disc, and it flies very nicely(thank you E-Mac)! A little domier and to my feel, more controllable as well. I can use this to hzyer or anhyzer or throw a shot on a string line! It's in the bag full time.
The other new disc is the Ace race Z edition named Hornet. This feels and looks like a more stable version of the Storm. I don't get near the glide I would from a Storm though. The Hornet in Z flies a lot like a Drone, but has the smaller edge like a Storm. I look forward to throwing this after a little more break-in. It definitely has the stability to tame some nasty spring winds.

Re: New Discraft
Innova had a disc named the Hornet. It was also an overstable midrange. Even more so, in fact, one of the most stable of its time.
I thought it was a good disc. I just don't throw overstable mids too often. But the ESP wasn't crazy overstable like a drone.

Re: New Discraft
I remember the Lightning(f-18?) Hornet, but don't remember an Innova disc of that name. You sure?

Long time since I've seen one. Was the lightning disc a midrange?

Re: New Discraft
http://www.pdga.com/files/documents/PDG ... 121810.pdf as far as I can see it's a driver...but it's old enough you might consider it a mid. I don't see any other listing for Hornet, so I'm guessing that's what it was.

Re: New Discraft
VOLT! Discraft has done it again. This thing is going to fly for days. Feels like the wing is a mix between a Nuke and Flash. Stability rating is a little lower then I want. I am wanting a disc I can lean on and know that it will come back at the end. As soon as the knee is better I will give a full report. I am sure Ron has his and will give a report in the next couple of days. The plastic feels sweet. A nice "okd school " Z feel to it.

Re: New Discraft
If you haven't had a chance to check out the Z FLX models available at Dynamic Discs I suggest you do so...I'm in love with my Z FLX Drone, a little more overstable than the Worlds Z's, and a little less than the First run FLX. Definitely a keeper! I also am pretty anxious to get a hold of the Z FLX Challengers....mmmm!
DD has exclusive rights to this plastic, so don't waste your time looking elsewhere!
