New Discraft

Post by ronconversjr »

FLX Drone is going stock! Yay! Esp Cyclone like the club guys in Michigan have been playing with ...and a new overstable putter. Think Banger with no GT! The new hottest fastest is on hold pending reliability issues. I guess reliability is more important than pumping out product! @ Discraft!

That would be fun to play with. I have heard the Z is more stable than the old cyclones.

The "Z" is more stable, generally speaking. The "Z" plastic is a lot more uniform. The original "X" plastic Cyclone was VERY color dependent with lighter colors being less stable and darker more stable. I was a huge fan, as the Cyclone was a quantum leap in design. The most stable was Dark purple. I had a matched pair that flew like new Vipers(Innova's hottest fastest at the time, The motto for the Viper was "Fear no wind, Crush the Viper!") I actually preferred powder Blue Cyclones to all others. It was probably the first disc I threw over 450 ft. Funny, I now have trouble getting that distance out of the newest "hottest fastest!"

I just read about 2 new ones. It was kinda funny; I saw the topic "discraft stalker" and I'm thinkin "I've had a disc golf stalker before". Then I read further and there's another disc coming out called the Ringer. Does the irony never stop?

Maybe I should try them out

Went out and threw the ESP Cyclone tonight. I recommend this disc as a user friendly driver. VERY straight, and comparatively fast, the Cyclone has enough speed to go long, but I think that it will be a lot easier to control than the super speed discs that fall off( hyzer out). Discraft has come pretty close to the original with the one I was throwing. Pretty much line drive straight past the range I'd normally throw an XL, Buzz, or Storm. This may lighten the load I carry. We'll see, but right now it looks promising.

You are correct Ron. This is a very cool disc. I took one out on Tuesday (Lime Green) and gave it a test drive. I threw it on every hole, trying to see what it would do on all different shots. It does what ever you make it.

I think it is perfect for low line drive shots. Shots that you have to throw a buzz hard, this thing is money.

Took it to Derby and threw it a ton checking it out.
Stoped in Mulvane threw it a ton checking it out, chained out of hole 7 with it.

It is going to get more use in my bag over the next couple of weeks.

I want to know! Seriously, I can't remember why I put down the Cyclone other than durability issues. By the way Smitty, I am throwing Orange.
