ACDGC League Schedule

Here is a proposed league schedule for the next 8 weeks. The tees are now in a predictable, regular, posted rotation.

These tee off times are the LATEST that I think we can use and get done with some light. Show up at least 15 min. early. I'll do 3-somes on each cards as long as I don't have to throw in the latecomers. No more than 4 players in a group with doubles.

I made up the schedule you posted into a few copys of flyers. Ill post them up on the boards at both oak and herman hill tomarrow . I noticed that on the 6th and the 8th you didn't have any thing scheduled. We could use those nights as club clean up nights and just play loose games as wee go . I suggest we carry trash bags around as we play and clean up around all the tees and baskets since disc golfers are the ones that use the parks the most. Its getting inbarasing as to how many beer cans and other trash is laying around in the woods near the tees. any ways here is the schedule

Thanks for posting that info, Lizard. Really appreciate the help.

I don't know what is going on with the 6th and the 8th, but you are right: We have a major problem with littering in Oak Park. We did a clean up a few weeks ago and within days the park was trashed again. The casual players are leaving tons of their beer cans and bottles in the woods, but mostly limited to the first 6 holes. Pretty disgusting how they are never more than 1 hole away from the trash can.

Observe that I have corrected the above schedule. We moved the Round Up one week back, so club will begin on weekends 2 weeks earlier.

Round up is Saturday, Nov. 17th. Herman Hill Park.
KDGA Finals is at Oak Park if weather permits. This is a special event that KDGA members qualify to play in. The DDO and the Round Up will give out last chance tournament qualification spots for a few of the members who didn't make the top 3rd in their division.

I posted a lot of information on both course bullitins. Ace race, Membership Drive, Round Up Flyers. League information, club schedule, handicap sheets, membership lists, etc.

One thing I've got an update on is the ace fund.

It is at $578

I redid the schedule, though I didn't change it here. Tee off needs to be 5 min. earlier to get done on time.

Tee off 5:35 at HH on Tuesday.

Club will be on weekends starting 11/10/07.

I'm going to need people to sub in when I can't make it. Get with me if your serious about this and I will get you set up. If we can't get people to run it, there won't be any league.

I know I won't be able to run it the Saturday after Thanksgiving.

In case you didn't see the other post, we've made a last minute change in our league location tomorrow.

We're going to have a clean up at Colwich starting around 10am. League will follow.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. This course needs some good care to get into shape.

I won't be able to run league this Saturday and possibly this Sunday as well. I'm working. This will be the case for a great majority of the weekends to come.

Not sure if league is going to happen this weekend with someone else running it or not. I need anyone who would like to run league to contact me.

I did get the course bulletins updated tonight. There were people playing at Oak. Hope we got the word out well enough about the ice bowl. I haven't seen a lot of people for a while.

Probably going to have to make some adjustments to this schedule and get them posted. Before I make a bunch of changes, any feedback from the club members? I know I have to get with Travis on this as well, as he has been running most of the events lately.

*Club switching to weekdays. Daylight savings times starts? on the day after the Colwich tourney. I figure we'll have club that day as I know everyone won't be able to go to Wyco. Should we switch to weekdays this week? Travis won't be able to do weekdays. I could probably get most of them, but not all. If we keep it on weekends longer, we would be running league during some local tournaments like Winfield and Wellington.

*Club at Derby and Newton and Colwich. Colwich is going to be the league location for both Sat. and Sun. before the tournament. Derby could be whenever. Perhaps a HH doubles day would be the best substitution. How about Tues., 3/18? For Newton, since weekday league will be starting early at first to get done before dark, and its a long way to drive, I was thinking we could try to do league on the weekend while we still have it. How about Sat., 2/23? Course is in great shape right now. Let's play it before it gets too wet out there.

Let me know if you plan on bringing a group up to Newton to play. We have a group of 4-6 that play Wednesday evening and Sunday afternoon. We might like to play with you on that Tuesday.
