Should be. Got enough commitments and several back-ups. Thanks to everyone helping out.

Is there anything that needs to be done Saturday or are we pretty well good to go?

Everything looking good. Got dark on us last night, so I got to go back. I think I'm going to finish flagging the course this morning, maybe about 10:30. Mike Speer and maybe Scott might be able to finish the trimming. After league, around 4pm, maybe. The only thing I know of that needs done is the thorns on the sides of 16's fairway need to be cut out. Some long handled nippers and gloves for dragging back would be good.

I'll have to check early Sunday morning to make sure none of the flags are gone. If someone goes out there late this afternoon, they could do this for me. Lots of 4 wheelers running around back there on warm days like today. Luckily tomorrow will be chill.

Course is set. Only real changes are hole 1 and 11. Hole 1 tee is moved shorter and left because of the soccer goals. Hole 11 moved longer in attempt to construct a two shot hole. Tees 11 and 12 should watch each other just in case someone on 11 shanks it to the right.

Mike and bob you guys ran a great show. Every one who also helped at the sign up table, puting out baskets and collecting them, the kitchen staff and every one who brought food all did an awsome job. This was a great day as far as weather goes also. I know i had a blast and hope every one that played had a good time. Can't wait to see some numbers posted. Yep I am the ICE BOWLS biggest fan ..lol

My thanks to the ACDGC crew for an awesome tournament. Always fun to raise money for a good cause doing what we love.

I've always wanted to see that piece of land. You could certainly make one hell of a permanent course back there, but it would take some serious maintenance to keep it in shape.

Biggest Ice Bowl to date that I know of. 67 players in attendance despite a frigid temps and cold winds the first round. The sun came out during the 2nd round and it turned out to be a decent day for January. The day prior, record setting temps of 70+ degrees, the day later complete blizzard conditions (we lucked out!). One day's weather in Kansas.

I want to offer a huge thanks, which is due all the volunteers that helped make this event a success. A load of people got baskets on & off the course without incident. Bob Decker, Mike Speer, Bryan Grosbach, Russ Trice, Taylor Camp, Bill Paulson, Peter Mohr, & Jehramy Heckman helped with registration & scorecards & payouts. Mike Speer couldn't play due to a back injury, but helped out all day and even ran to get more raffle tickets. Didi Schoenhofer & Mrs. Paulson helped with getting all the food ready and cleaning up afterwards. To all the others I didn't mention, my thanks to you also!

Thanks is espescially due to our sponsors. Scott Miller getting Fox & Hound on board once again took the event to the next level. Buddy and Crispin brought you the nice 1st place trophies that made the event a lot more special to the winners. Casey Fluty kicked in a 2010 USDGC Roc for the raffle. Buddy also brought in a $200 donation. Bob with Heibert & Decker CPA's gave $100 donation and raised an additional $175 in sponsorship. Many people supported by purchasing a total of over $1000 in raffle tickets. Lots of superlatives yet again this year, espescially our donation to the KS Foodbank. I'll post the official amount when we cut a check, but it looks like we are looking at $2500+, easily a record! Thanks to everyone for coming, bringing baskets & good food, & supporting our fundraising effort.

I'm proud to be a part of such an effort. Great people doing great things for the community- you just can't beat it. I hope everyone had a great time and feel free to send me any suggestions on how to improve it for the future.

Need a little help so someone doesn't miss out on the KDGA basket raffle following the Food Drive season. Who bought a Z Buzzz food drive disc? Didn't get the name written down.

On the course, 3 toughest holes were 11, 16, & 1

11 was too long to get a 2. About a third of the players had at least one 3, and a few 3'd it twice.
16 had no birds on the cards this year.
Cliff Zollman was the only one to get a 2 on hole 1.

Hot 1st round was 50 by Chris Dendurent, Curtis Broadhurst, & Danny Roman.
Hot 2nd round was 48 by Crispin Carrasco.

great job at breaking down the numbers Mike. I liked the longer hole 11. I got lucky with a 3 on that one. !6 seemed a little longer this year also. Both great inprovements on last years course. $2500 plus for a total is awsome. lets beat it next year.
