Finally got around to registering after lurking for a couple months...

ACE - K.C. Jones - #3 short-to-short with a Firebird - $148

Ace fund is $100.
I may have given the wrong payout for two aces being hit during the same league. Read the discussion about it from two years ago HERE. After discussing it with a lot of members tonight, I think we should change the rule. If two aces are hit during the same league an extra $100 should be added to the payout regardless of who got the aces. If anyone disagrees please let me know but it will not change tonight's payout.

Re: Tuesday League Results
Doesn't matter if anyone disagrees. It's your league and you did the right thing. Not to mention the old rule (whatever idiot agreed on that) was crap!!pschmidt wrote:10-9-12

Re: Tuesday League Results
The amount of cash you gave out was similar to if you had done your 2 aces for 1 thrower and split it up two ways. I don't know why you would pay more for one guy that hits two aces than you would for 2 guys who hit one ace. We use the former scenario for our league which translates: For two aces in one night, 1/2 the pot for the first, 1/2 of what's left (or 1/4 of the original), for a total of 3/4 of the pot given out, 3/8 apiece. One thing you have that we don't is the max, which is probably a good thing. We went from over $1000 in our ace pot to less than $200 in a matter of a 3 weeks.

Re: Tuesday League Results
My argument has always been the first person that hits the ace gets the max. The second person to hit it gets half of what's left. The argument there is how do you know who hit it first. That could be a concern on bigger courses like Thomas. Not so much an issue on LW North. Still we all have cell phones and watches. Hit an ace and check the time. Of course I argue this more cause the stupid split it rule has cost me more then anyone. I've had to split the ace fund three times now. Each time I was the first to hit the ace. But free money is free money.Schoen-hopper wrote:The amount of cash you gave out was similar to if you had done your 2 aces for 1 thrower and split it up two ways. I also never agreed with topping out the ace fund. If the fund gets to $1,000 and you hit it it's yours. The argument there was frustration if some newbie or out of towner came in and collected it. I think the $10 a year membership fee rectifies that.
