You better get to work today if that is going to happen. It is going to take longer then you think to get any fairways cut if that is the route you are going to go.

Where are you at in course design?

Talked to Mr. Ash and he said that we need to bring a check for our half of the baskets and then they can get them ordered.

Will do. We should be getting on Thomas in the next week or so. We have a few things to finish up at Lakewood first.

I talked to Mr. Ash and he said that storing the baskets would not be a problem. I told him that we were going to get Lakewood the way we wanted it and then we would focus our attention on Thomas.

Here is what I found out from talking to Bob today.

Can we dig up bulletin board and place it in a more user friendly spot by hole #1? yes

Ask about spot welding Lakewood. Still on list of things to do.

Can we sign liability waivers to use chainsaws at Thomas? No, their lawyers have told them in the past that a waiver wasn’t enough protection.

Can horseshoe pits be moved or removed at Thomas? Bob will talk to Steve, it shouldn’t be a problem to get them moved, but that is not a for sure thing yet.

Does the city have a chalk cart that we can borrow for next months tournament? We can use marking paint, city will give us a couple of cans.

Bob would like to meet one of us out at Thomas next week and go over the course that we have designed to this point. He can't meet on Monday or Thursday, but any other day next week would work for him. Let me know if one of you can do it, when you can do it, and I'll set it up.

How many feet away from the dyke will the trees be cut down? Hopefully we'll know this week.

Can we put tee signs and pads down there? Yes

What is the status on ordering the baskets? We should know more this week.

We will need to know this by Saturday so we can plan around it.

I will double check the statement when I get home tonight, but I am pretty sure the money has been transfered.

The Baskets have arrived! We just need to keep working hard (and get some more people to show up) on clearing out the trees and bushes so we can put them in.

So what is the course record?

Pretty cool course, for sure a one of a kind in the central Kansas area.

I think some of my favorite holes may have been the least work.
Hole 1 is cool
Hole 2 is very cool
14 over the ditch looks super cool from the tee pad
15 may be one of the craziest anhyzers you will play
17 is a very cool hole, a three is like a bird and you never have to throw over 250 feet.

I think this course may become a favorite of many Kansans in the near future.
