Tonight I have a four hour linear editing class. After this class I should be good to go to turn in the videos.

Spent three hours capturing footage into Final Cut Pro last night. It wouldn't of taken so long except I'm learning non linear editing. The first video (VHS) is captured on my hard drive. I'll make a night next week to go in and string it all back together and add my name to show as producer for ten seconds at the end of the show. That's mandatory.

Once the first video ready to go the DVD shouldn't take very long. I may try linear editing with that where I just capture and go. I wanted to do non linear this time to see if I could learn anything.

Joe they're telling me I need to get a permission slip from you telling me it's OK to include the underwriters and that I'm not infringing on your copy rights. I told them you and I go way back and everything shot you intended to be seen on public access's everywhere.

Joe,

Tonights editing was a piece of cake! Volume 5 is officially turned in and I'm awaiting notice as to when it'll air. FYI I put you as the editor and me as the producer. I originaly had it "produced by Joe Wander in conjuction with Richard Holmgren" but they had me change it since you're not a local producer.

I have to wait a week before I can check out a hard drive and get to work on Volume 6. Keeps people from checking out hard drives indefinately.

I need to take the camera class before I can start shooting local footage. It'd be nice to check out a camera to catch some Hays footage. Doubt I can make that happen in time.

Good Day,
Richard

I haven't viewed #7 yet. We'll watch it in place of our Friday evening movies.

Also Joe I'll get $60 from the club to send you.

Anyone else reading this from other community's these shows are great! I can't stress that enough! Very well done! If you have a community access available do all you can to get these on the air! City officials who happen to see these will be blown away by how big the sport of disc golf is!

Thanks for all you're doing Joe!

What is community access television for someone who doesn't have a clue?

I was wondering that too. We don't even have cable, we have "Sky Angel" which is cheap, and has good quality programming. Anyway, I don't have a clue about all that stuff! :?

Our cable has three channels devoted to the community. They play everything from city board meetings to just a running board of what's happening in the community. One maybe two of those channels are devoted to playing shows that are produced by citizens. You see a lot of church shows, gardening shows, college kids with to much time on their hands, Cagerz games, River Festival crap, porn, etc.

Thanks to Don we'll soon start seeing a disc golf show. They're sure to give disc golf a stronger image in our community.

My mom watched the show. She said it was "good" what ever that means to a mom.

She is going to try and copy it for me next time it is on. When is that going to be? Rich can you hook a brother up with a copy?

I flipped through and saw it on at 7 last night. Doesn't get more prime time then that! Wonder how we did going head to head against Survivor? There's suppose to be a schedule at www.salnet.org but last I looked it wasn't current. Just keep checking at the top of every hour and you'll find it soon enough.

I'm working to get the next two installments up and running. Hope to get that done next week.

Smitty you should listen to your mother! It is good! I know cause I've seen it.

I can hook a brotha up for......$1 million dollars. Better get Don's permission before I dub off copy's. I don't want to be the next Napster and have Lars start calling me. I'd be willing to let you borrow the original.

Are people really watching porn on public television in Salina? I guess our basic cable is really lacking here in Wichita.
