Morning Drama...
It's been nearly a month since anyone's posted in here. We need to keep up with our once a month quota so I figured I'd share some drama.
My minivan got stolen this morning!
I went to the Y at 5am, did my work out, showered, got dressed, put my jacket on and no keys and no cell phone. I searched my gym bag and my jacket again and my gym bag again. I looked around to see if they fell out and looked at the front counter where a thief would have any number of 15 - 30 sets of keys to choose from. Everyone leaves their keys at the front counter. I don't. I put them safely in my coat pocket. I walked outside to see if I left them in the minivan. Nope they're not there. Minivan's not there either. I walk back inside and then outside and back inside and outside before deciding 'you know what my cars been stolen'!
So my minivan is MIA. What makes it worse is it's my wife's minivan. She doesn't think I should be allowed to drive it. Only on special occasions at the very most but my truck was low on gas and the minivans just so much more convenient to take in the morning. It's got that fancy clicker where all you got to do is hit the button and the doors unlock. The same button a thief could use to find which vehicle he had the keys to. Besides I usually have it back before she even knows I took it. This parts adding just a little bit more drama to my morning.
O-well, such is life in the fast lane.
How's everyone else's morning?

Still no word on my car. Like your foreskin I don't think I want my car back at this point. Who knows what they've been doing with it or in it. Freaking commy bastards!

The criminals (suspects) that stole my van. Couple of career criminals. They're still at large and allegedly in Topeka.

Van's been found. They found it last Saturday in Lawrence at 2AM. Bad guys out ran the cops in my van! I always new that van had a little extra in her. By the time the cops caught up to her the bad guys were gone.
Good news the bad guys stole another vehicle at a casino in Topeka. This time they were caught on tape. They've both since been arrested!
I went to Lawrence to get my van. Seemed to drive OK. All the seats were gone and there's quite a bit of cosmetic damage. The insurance company totaled it. (that's great news!) I agreed to buy it back from the insurance company for $1,300. Figured with out the seats it'd make a great Flying Debris vehicle. That was before the Lawrence cop called and told us how crazy the chase got. O-well we'll see.
I took the van down to the Salina police station and asked them to have a drug dog go through it. They didn't have a dog available. So the cop gives me a card and says if I get pulled over and they find 20lbs of coke in the van I can call them and they'll vouch that the van had been stolen and the drugs aren't mine. So basically now I have a "carry drugs for free" card. I didn't ask him when it expired.

I fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks once, but I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10,000 times.

How bout this? For $100 I'll let you detail my mini-van and you can keep anything you find in it. Hint, the dashboard and glove box have definitely been tampered with. Who knows what hiding places they found in the back.Ruder wrote:I'll buy that card for $420. Does it come with the van?
Here's another offer. For $1,500 I'll sell the van and all its questionable contents including the "hall drugs for free" card.
