How long did it take you to get your first ace?

Post by Khawk »

While I'm sure this topic has already been brought up, I'm new to this board and I'm curious. Myself and a couple friends have been playing for a couple months and have been wondering who or when the first of us might just drain one. I would be encouraged, hopefully, to hear of how long it took many of you to land your first ace.

Maybe everyone has racked up so many that they have only distant memories of their first? Oh, congrats on yours by the way, hope mine isn't far away. I keep thinking 18 @ oak may be the one for me too.

I started playing seriously in the fall of 1995. I landed my first ace in Hutch #16 on May 1, 2001 and then hit my second one the next day in Norton #13. It took me a while but was well worth it to hit my first two in two consecutive days. And I've hit 12 more since then.

So, who in the KDGA has the most lifetime aces? Most aces in a day? Most aces in consecutive days? Most in a week, month, year? Longest ace? shortest ace? Most money won for an ace? Most witnesses? We should put together some sort of record book on the KDGA website for members. Something to strive for.

Just one more thing for Michael to keep track of.

Brett- 500+
I have 4 KDGA tourney Aces Herrington, Hays, Pratt, Windfield

I think tourney aces would be all we would want to worry about.

Do you hang all of your ace discs on the wall or do you keep throwing them?

I just thought of another Ace, kinda. I was throwing hole 5 Alt to original in Hays. Slammed it straight into 4's basket. Sprout, Coda, and Boobs all saw it.

Both

If it is a tourney or league ace I hang it up.
If it is a casual ace, then it stays in the bag.

Usually? I have a couple of tourney Aces with no signatures, kind of crazy.

I have a Backhand Ace, 2 Finger Ace, BH Skip Ace, FH Skip Ace, Glow Ace, Thumber Ace, Black Ace.

The one I am looking for is the ROLLER ACE! I gave it a couple of good runs last time I was in Pratt. Number 12 is perfect for it. Short with a huge jump just before the basket. I had discs fly past on both sides, but not in!
