I agree. Frizz Rocker is a true Liberal. This rule should be in that spirit. In fact, I don't see a problem with allowing all ties in, even if it is for a top third or regional spot. Even a tournament qualifier tie, if that ever happened.

In Ellis, 41 Players & 32 Members showed up! Tyler Patzner of Hays signed up for 2008 and tied our record of 130 members on the last day of the season. On top of that, he won the tournament qualifier spot for intermediate and got to play in the finals Sunday. I still have to refigure his points from events earlier in the year. That just goes to show it pays big to be a KDGA member, even if it is only for 1 day!

Mike Schoenhofer in Open and Brandon Mace & Brady Younger in advanced also got a tournament bid from Ellis.

After reviewing the points page, there was an error in the qualifiers list. Mace showed me how to autosort the players and I failed to notice that Brady had moved up into the top third. Just like what happened to Rusco, who got the tourney bid, regional bid, & top third. The spot wouldn't have gone to anyone else though, because Mace tied with him and got the spot as well.

However, Willis was bumped out of the top third and this wasn't noticed. Also not noticed was that Tyler Patzner bumped the intermediate division up to 35 players which allows for 12 top third qualifiers. So Tyler Smith should have got in.

Willis, you owe Tyler. Actually, I owe you both. Espescially Willis, who would have bailed us all out of jail.

Anyone know exactly which KDGA tournaments Tyler Patzner played this year?

Next year, we need a spot on the membership form that asks players to include all 2009 KDGA events they have played up to that point. What I have been doing is reviewing 30+ threads and the PDGA site looking for info ever time we get a new member sign up.

Also for next year, it might be a good idea to limit retro points to players signing up by Beloit. For this year, I have done it, so we'll recalculate the points, one last time....
