Pratt Lemon Park Ice Bowl

Saturday, Feb. 28, 2009

9:00 Registration
10:00 Tee Off

Course Info:

Image ---> LEMON PARK PHOTO TOUR

Image ---> COURSE MAP

This is a special 18-hole course which exists only 1 weekend per year, spanning over two adjacent parks with a river, a pond and plenty of mature trees. We move the 18 Mach V baskets from the regular May Dennis course into Lemon Park on Friday the 27th, and tear it back down on Sunday the 29th. Check out the photo course tour: http://www.phatplastic.net/pdgc/LemonPa ... rget0.html. I'm borrowing a rangefinder to measure distances and will post those soon. I think it's probably a 5000 ft course.

Format:
* Random Draw Doubles.
* There will most likely be 1 class. To keep it as fair as possible, the TD may break up/reshuffle unreasonably good or bad pairings.
* 18 Holes in the AM, 18 in the PM.
* 10 KDGA Points
* Pot Luck Lunch @ the Park - we'll supply sloppy joes, please bring salads, chips, etc.

Entry Fee:
$20 - All Players - Includes:
* Entry Fee
* 1 KDGA Food Drive Disc
* 1 KDGA Basket Raffle Entry

Optional Fees
Bring 1 Can of Food for 1 Mulligan (limit 8 per player)
$2 Mulligans (limit 8 per player for the day).
$10 CTP Day Pass (10 total CTP Prizes).
$5 Ace Fund (100% goes to food bank if not hit)
$5 Add'l KDGA Basket Food Drive Raffle Ticket
$20 Add'l KDGA Food Drive Disc (Includes a raffle ticket)

CTP Info
There will be 10 CTP prize packages (5 in the AM, 5 in the PM). Only those who buy the CTP Day Pass can win the CTP prizes. Each CTP prize package will be worth $10 to $30 (discs, towels, shirts and minis will be mixed into various CTP prize packages). We plan to incorporate some extra raffle tickets into the CTP prize pool. Limit 1 CTP prize package per player for the day (runner-up will win instead). Proceeds/net from the CTP pool will go to the local food bank.

Raffle Info
The raffle drawing will NOT take place on the day of this event. It is a state-wide raffle. We will take names and phone numbers and you will be notified by the KDGA if you win something!

Prizes & Payout:
Each player gets 1 really nice disc with their entry fee. All other prizes can be won only by CTP, raffle or Ace. We will have discs, shirts, towels, minis and other goodies available for purchase. There will be no cash payout. All proceeds of this event go to the Pratt Food Bank.

Wow, Ryan, That's way better than taking the tour in person. What a great job. Makes me want to come and play. In fact, I think I will based on that lovely tour. See you then

Mom's making home-made chickn soup and sloppy joes!!

FYI - Lunch Update

We are going to to do a potluck for lunch at the Lemon Park shelter house. Extended forecast currently says it'll be in the 50's and clear.

We'll provide sloppy joes and buns. Please bring a bag of chips, veggie tray, tater salad, dessert, or whatever you feel like contributing to the potluck lunch.

We will provide plates, forks, spoons, paper towels, etc...

Bottles of pop and water will be $1 or BYO.

....and I'm 95% certain that MOM WILL BE THERE WITH MOM'S COOKIES.

FYI - Course Update

This Friday the 27th, starting at about 10am, we'll be moving baskets. If anyone is interested in a casual practice round on the Lemon Park layout, it should be ready by mid-afternoon.

** Please RSVP so we have an idea of how much food to prepare. **

Yo B!

I will send you a file for the raffle tickets. When you get them filled out after the event, snail mail them back to me. We will get them added to the drawing.

I'm thinking I will be there. Sounds fun.
I fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks once, but I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10,000 times.

Anyone let Tatro know this thing is going on? He may be interested. He and I designed several of the first holes several years ago.
