I'd like to take credit for helping move the baskets between rounds, however I can't.

I was pretty much setting on my rump eating & drinking, then a little putting practice. Thad might have had help, but I was not one of them. So to those of you who helped Thad, Thanks... and of course thanks to Thad too.

Next time I'll jump in and help move baskets.

You are correct Kevin, they are probably screwed up. I have also never seen a stroke worth more then 10 points. The fact that there were so many players with no rating could have something to do with it?

I do know this. We played a different course the second round. SNG you need to go into the TD report and make sure that it is listed as all playing A layout the first round and all playing the B layout the second round.

The second course played much easier. Holes 2, 8, 10, 17 were all birdied more the second round I guarantee it! With that in mind, the rating may actually be to high for the second round!

The layouts are listed as A and B, or else the first and second round ratings would be the same.

I will double check that it's right though. Also, these ratings are unofficial. I have seen my rating on a round jump 20 points when it officially got processed.

I can always ask Chuck on the "Ask Chuck About Ratings" Thread on the PDGA board too.

Looked back at some of my old results. We played a tourney in Great Bend a few years ago, and a stroke was worth 13 rating points.

The first round was 10 points/stroke. The second much easier round was 11 points/stroke.

Just going off of memory of Chuck's rating discussions. Someone could dig up some tourney results and SSA's to prove/disprove this.

A course with an SSA (Scratch or 1000 rated scoring average) around 51 has about 10 points different per stroke in the tourney results. The hardest courses like USDGC, may go down to as little as 6 points per stroke. Super easy courses could be as many as 14-15 points different per stroke.

Looks like the SSA for this course (tourney configs) will be about 50.5 for the first round and 48 for the second. 10 points difference first round, 11 different 2nd round, seems just about right. Don't know how these could be screwed up. Usually, the round ratings get messed up temporarily when 2 different courses are used concurrently.

The NT this weekend during the last round, a stroke was worth 6 rating points too.

I think the thing with these ratings was that so many 940-960 rated players shot low 50's and high 40's. So when a 1000 rated pro (Babbit) shoots the same as them, his rating gets pulled down. I think out of 69 players, only 29 are PDGA, and they may not have all been 'gators.

I tried changing the Par of the course to 55, since #7 is a par 4. That didn't change the ratings, just the relation of scores to par.

In the scheme of things a 965 is probably at least in the neighborhood of being correct. Going through each hole made wince at how tough a time I had. I am drooling for another shot at that course. Thanks again to the Super Nice Guys for putting on a great tournament.

Many thanks for putting this together! My son & I had a great time, but had to duck out before getting a chance to go through the plastic. I've been on the lookout for an Avenger SS and noticed you had some earlier. Just wondering what kind of inventory you had left and how we can buy some if they're available.

I have some ESP Avenger SS in Yellow and Greenish/Blue.

I have 1 ESP FLX Avenger SS in Greenish/Blue

I also have a few Z Avenger SS 1 in green with purple stamp, and a few blue ones.

I could probably set you up with some at $12 a piece. Shipping depends on how many you would like, but I can ship up to 5 discs for around $8 i think. One disc $2 shipping.

I take many forms of payment, Check, Money order, paypal...Let me know if you are interested.

I have a few meteors left as well, they are great approach discs, very good for low power shots, and turnover shots.

Chris,

Thanks for the offer, I'll take you up on it too. I'll send you an e-mail with the details.

Now if I could just get someone to send my lost disc back to me ... (LOL).

Here's a few pics from the tourney. Sorry they're not the greatest pics, but photography wasn't exactly my highest priority Saturday.
