Yes same courses as last year. We will be tweaking them a little, but pretty much the same.

Got the band reserved and ready to go for the players party sat night. Disc Parker will be setting up a mini golf course as well for the party. More info to come.

Neileo is working on a host hotel. I'll make sure he posts it on here when he's got it lined up.
Word is $50/night

There is camping in the campground right there at the lake. It is only about a 5 or 10 minute walk from the players party. I stayed there last year and plan on doing the same this year.

We have worked it out to use all 4 courses for this event (Lake Shawne, Lake Temp, Crestview, Big Shunga) this year. This event will be an A-Tier for Pro divisions and Advanced divisions which will require you to be a PDGA member. All other am divisions will not require a PDGA membership. Also, with help from Innova, Discraft, some club members, we have raised $1,500+ to add to the pro payout. I expect to have well over $2,000 to add to the pot by tourney time so payout will not dissapoint. The amount of cash added to each division will be based upon the amount of players in the division. We also have $1,500+ of merchandise that will be added to the am payout. Below is some updated event details and information. Hope to see you all there!

Host hotel has been secured. Here is the information for the host hotel...

Days Inn
1510 SW Wanamaker Rd
785-272-8538
$50/night
Breakfast included
Indoor pool
Hi-Speed Internet
Pets Allowed
Rooms available for the 24th and 25th
Ask for Kay and the LSDiscs rate.

also...

Lake Shawnee Campground
http://www.snco.us/parksandrec/lake_campground.asp

Should be good camping weather being in late september and within easy walking distance from the players party which will be at the shelterhouse/s at the lake which makes for a safe walk home!

As mentioned above we have the shelterhouses reserved until 11p that saturday night for the event and players party. We will have live music, bbq beef and pork dinner, beer (both home made by a local disc golfer, and purchased), glow mini golf competition sponsored by Disc Golf Dicks (Dick Parker), and more. Players party is included with your entry. Guests are welcome and encouraged to attend as we will be selling dinner/drink tickets for $7 a piece which will include everything but the mini golf.

There will be doubles on Friday (Flex Start times 2-6p) at the Alternate lake course. $20/team Open and Am divisions. 100% payout. Open is paid out in cash, Am in merchandise.

Any additional information will be posted on this website when it is ready.

Since this is an A-Tier for Open and Advanced divisions, participants are required to be a current pdga member. If you aren't and still would like to play, you can sign up for the PDGA at the event and you membership would last until the end of 2011. If you are playing in intermediate, rec, juniors, etc... you won't be required to be pdga current, but would have to pay the $10 if not current. Hope to see everyone there!

Players packs shaping up to be pretty awesome for the shunga this year. So far, every am participant will recieve AT LEAST the following...

- Discraft Glow Z Nuke, Discraft Sticker
- Gateway Wizard, Gateway stash mini, gateway sticker + the winner of each card during the last round will recieve an additional Gateway disc compliments of gateway
- Dri-Fit Tourney stamped shirt
- Vibram Mini
- Innova Stickers and mini
- LSDiscs Decals and stickers
- Ticket to the players party
- and more to come...
So far the retail value of this players pack is well over $70. Don't miss out!

If anyone is interested in helping sponsor this tournament in any fashion, please contact me at your convenience.

Forgot to mention Gateway will also be throwing in a 150 class Magic that we will encourage the player to give away to someone that hasn't played the game to encourage the growth of the sport.

Also, Vibram donated $300 cash to the pro payout! There is also a very good chance that this will be a VO qualifier next year!

There has not been alot of info put out on the tournament as far as who will play which coarses and which day, or the start times. Do you have any of those type details yet?
