ACDGC Membership Drive Tournament
Oak Park, Wichita
Sign-Up Starts at 1:00 p.m. near tee #1.

Cost is $10 for 2010 renewing members and $15 for new members and includes…
· Over 15 months of ACDGC membership. Lasts until 3/31/2012. Membership benefits include (but not limited to) eligibility for full ace fund benefits at club events and discounts on club merchandise.
· Free entry to the 2010 ACDGC championship tournament.
· Free hamburgers & hotdogs following tournament. Please bring a side dish.
· Additional discount for disc purchase. Choice of 1 disc for $4 off marked price.

Format will be 1 round of 18 holes played from the short tees.
$1 optional fee for ACDGC Ace Fund.
Lowest score in any division will be the 2010 ACDGC Champion. Trophies for prizes as available. (Still need someone to volunteer at this point).
Come on out and join our club for an afternoon of fun and help support disc golf in Wichita!

We need help to make this happen. If anyone could make / donate something for trophies this year, that would be excellent. At least something nice for the club champion (lowest score, any division). Also, who can bring a grill for the after-round barbeque? The club will reimburse for cost of hamburgers, hotdogs, chips, soda/waters. Thanks to everyone for keeping this event going!

I am a little hazzy on this. I am going to be down in Wichita all weekend and want to get in on some disc golf. I would not mind joining to help out your area clubs/courses. So Sunday is for new people too or just last years club members?

In a nutshell, it's a drive for people to sign up for their 2011 Air Capital Disc Golf Club membership. For $15 (or $10 for renewing 2009 members), you get:

-18 months of membership. 10/3/2010 through 3/31/2012.
-All the benefits that go with membership. Full ace fund eligibility, $1 off plastic purchases, voting rights at board meetings, etc.

For the day of the membership drive only, you'll get.
-Free tournament entry.
-Divisional prizes as well as 2010 club champion title for lowest score.
-Possible CTP or ring of fire prizes.
-Free BBQ cookout after round.
-$4 off marked price on any disc.

$1 extra for those wanting to participate in the ace fund now, which is almost back up to $600 I believe.

This just in from Peter:
I'm inviting everyone over to my house afterwards for a fire, drinks, snacks, beer pong and a beer frisbee showdown. I will have the football game on and my basket out for putting. Just hang out by the fire and relax and have a good time.

Peter lives right next to the course. Sounds like fun!

We may have a travelling trophy going out to this years Club Champion. Should be pretty cool.

I was going to propose that we got a plaque that we could add the champions name too each year and display in the clubhouse at H.H. ....These usually run in the neighborhood of $100-120. If we could raise half the money for one ($50-60 or so), I would be willing to donate the rest and get it made. This would be a neat thing for the next generation of golfers to enjoy as well.

Unruh will be donating special prizes for the top 2 pro and the top am player....just a hint, It will make the cookout a bit more tasty!

Ace pool is $592 headed into tomorrow! Plus whatever gets added tomorrow. Everyone who puts $1 into the ace fund tomorrow will be eligible to win half the ace pot.

awesome job to mike, peter, deedee and everyone else that helped make the membership drive a success... great turnout, great weather, great steak(unruh)...the more we all work together and represent the club as a great place to play golf and make new friends, the bigger wichita events will become. thanks to everyone who came out and partied!

Huge thanks to everyone for coming out to our 5th annual membership drive event! We had a record of 50 sign ups (including 16 new members) and 44 players. The weather was absolutely perfect.

I'd like to make an extra special thanks to the following people. Crispin got our amazing new Club Champion travelling trophy made up (donated by ACDGC), printed up club tee shirts, and threw in 20 some discs, shirts, & hats in for prizes and an eternal ring of fire. Peter & Power 93.9 threw in a lot of stuff for prizes as well. Ryan Doyle with Disc Golf Mania donated a Discraft mini-basket, which he won on the CTP hole, and then donated again, which I believe Nicklaus won on a CTP playoff. Didi bought & brought all the food and fixed us all up with good grub to eat. Micah & his family came through at the last minute with some much needed tables.
