Food Drives 2012

Cool to see that you are considering hosting a food drive tourney back home. Depending on what date you pick, I might try to round up a bunch of our Manhattan players to come down and support our fellow DFOK member (you). At the very least, (if you host a food drive) I'll make sure to promote your event prior to all our league rounds up here in MHK.

J Carroll is a good dude. He's doing good things down there in Hutch (when he's not in school up here in MHK). Hopefully you guys can get something cooked up for the guys down in Hutch.

Regarding a KDGA food drive event in Manhattan, two weeks ago one of our core group of players up here told me he is considering hosting, in his words, an "ice bowl" type event in February. No, I do not think he is at all aware of what the KDGA has to offer (as described above). I will get in contact with him ASAP to find out if the KDGA model would work (or add something appealing) to what he has in mind.

I was referring to the title under your username. In the forum thread, under your username it says "KDGA Member" whereas mine does not. Nevermind my comment about the invitation, but I will need to complete a membership application (http://www.kansasdiscgolf.com/kdga/inde ... hermenu-36) with the $30 fee in order to schedule a Food Drive tourney, correct?

Food Drive discs will be in today!!!If your city is not on the food drive schedule it is never to late to get on it and run one!!!! The KDGA will have plenty of discs and remember you can return anything that you don't use. If you have been working with your city and want another feather in your cap they love when you give back to the community. Here is your chance. Over the last three years by just running the food drives in Salina we have given $1650 to our local food bank!!!!
