Chuck Norris invented disc golf when he roundhouse kicked a golf ball and it turned into a golf disc.

I vote we up the bounty on the next ace hit at Thomas League. Make it $600 or even $1,000 for club members ($10 yearly fee). It'd increase membership and we'd entice some big Sunday League turnouts. It's already not that uncommon for golfer's to travel from Wichita, Topeka, & Hays for our Sunday league. Let's make it tempting and give everyone a shot at big $$.
Before you respond (Austin and Mace) remember....I'm right and you're wrong!

Let's say Sunday League averages 10 players every week over the entire year... that's $520.00 added to the Ace Fund every year. Let's say Sunday averages 15 players per week... that's $780.00 per year. You're talking about giving away the whole year's Ace Fund on one throw. That can't be right?

It'd be right if I were the one to hit it!

We're averaging more like 15 or 16 now. If we average 30 that's $1,560 for the year. More importantly that's $90 pay out each week as apposed to $45. Plus another $15 a week to the club in addition to $150 more in club memberships (If my calculations are correct). And who cares if an outsider come's in and hits a big ace? Congrats to them! There was a day when if you hit the ace you got the pot. Just sucked being the guy who hit it the next week.

I knew this was about greed.

Yes, we're averaging 15 or 16 now but I was figuring average attendance for the whole year... I bet it's closer to 10. There's no way that this would triple attendance.

All the membership money (plus some) is spent each year on the members. That has nothing to do with this.

Minimum wage went up a few years ago from $5.15 to $7.25. So, due to inflation, the Ace Fund should payout around $420. But, that also means we should increase the Ace Fund buy-in to $1.40.

That right there is another GREAT reason to entice people with one big $$ Ace!!

We've been having weekly leagues at Thomas for over 3 years now (??) and there's been 0 league aces. Unless one of Austin's two aces at Thomas was a league ace? As far as I know there's only been hand full of aces at Thomas ever. It just doesn't happen very often. It will and once it does there'll probably be a rush of them but why not make the first one a big one? It's only money!!

And I'm sorry...I should of started this with "Austin, Mace, & PHIL I'm right and you're wrong!!"

I aced hole 7 in league. If raising the ace fund one time only is what we are talking about, lets do it. I wouldn't go more than $500.

If you are talking about a perment change I say no. The entire reason for capping the ace fund at $300 is to keep out of town people from coming and taking the money we paid $1 at a time.

The real question is does Rich really want to change the ace fund or is he just crying so people pay attention to him?
