I really enjoyed Pomona the few times I've been there and look forward to playing June 1st. I'm glad someone decided to use Pomona for a tourney, it's kind of an Unknown course on the scene. I was banking on Melvern being a part of DD or the KDGA tourney stops but oh well.

How come this is a PDGA and KDGA event?? Strictly KDGA events are so much more relaxed and enjoyable.
However I think its a little ridiculous to pay $50 to play intermediate (non-pdga) at a tournament in it's first year not knowing the turnout.
I don't want to sound like I'm complaining but I feel a larger turnout of AM's would happen if it wasn't a PDGA event. (I hope I'm wrong)

Anyways look forward to it regardless of how I feel about the price.

Paul-

Valid point on the price.

My best answer is this..

We DD haven't ran a non-sanctioned event in several years. Many players love the chance to improve their player ratings, gather PDGA points, etc.

Making it a PDGA event will hopefully pull in some players that may not have normally participated.

Thanks for your interest and I also am exited for the 1st.

Two weeks out. Register Soon

Tentative plan is blast out of Lawrence after the awards and payout and roll to Pamona. I think we would be crazy if we didn't do something to enjoy the short 9 holer! Glow doubles, Ace Race, 2 disc challenge? What would be popular?

Have never played the Wolf Creek course, but it looks like it has some rather large holes featuring narrow fairways and hip high grass. Those in the know...do the long holes need to be shortened?

Get this one on your calendar. See you in a couple of weeks.
