Jeff,
I am sorry to report that I will NOT be able to attend this event after all.

Thanks for the personal invite though. It sounds like a good time. Hopefully I can catch the 4th Annual next year.

Rick
Come to Manhattan. Play our courses.

If you are coming in from Wichita, just a note. 135th street (Clearwater Road) is closed from 71st street south to 95th st. for several months for construction. I would come South on Meridian or Broadway to 103rd and come into Clearwater from the East. The course is located about 1/2 mile east of the water tower. If you want to come down Hoover Rd to 71st and then go West to Ridge, then South on Ridge to 103rd St. ,then into Clearwater from the East.

Remember, $10 of the entry fee goes to the Clearwater Lions Club to help with the Lions Club Sight Fund. This fund provides free eye exams and eye glasses to needy students in the Clearwater School District. Two years ago one of these free eye exams diagnosed a severe vision problem that helped save the eye sight of one of our student. The other $20/$25 per player and the over $400 in donations goes directly to payouts. If you want to donate a disc to the Ring of Fire, let me know!

Send me a message if you would like to participate so I can save as spot or stop by or call Duck's . The tourney starts Round 1 @ 9:30 am with a 45 min lunch break before round 2. Since we count only deuces, it goes fast. We should be done by 3:00 pm. There is a donated $50 ace fund and every tee shot has a good chance. That means you get 44 chances to win the $50. (each round has 22 baskets)

Jeff, I haven't had a chance to sign up yet, but I'm planning to come out for the 3rd straight year.

For anyone who hasn't played this before, it is a fun small tourney, great for a laid back tourney experience. I would recommend it to both new players and those who have played lots of tournaments. Don't miss it!

Thanks Joe Joe will be throwing for the Ace fund again! Since is it my 60th birthday on Friday the 24th, my loving wife LaDena has offered to provide lunch for at least the first 25 people to sign up. I think we will try to do the mini distance contest over lunch. The extended forecast looks great for next Saturday-low 70's , light wind, and dry in the sky! Let's hope they get it right!

The course is ready, the weather for Saturday looks good. If we get a lot of rain on Friday, the course will be a little soggy in a few places.
Only 2 tee pads are grass so that won't be a problem. I have heard from a few in McPherson, some of the Pratt club are going to make it, as well as several of the local master and grandmaster gang. The brisket sandwiches will be ready for lunch! Remember, we start at 9:30 am sharp!!!!!!!!!!!! You can sign up starting at 7:30 am or so.

Remember to enter Clearwater from the east. 135st coming in from the North is closed from 71st into town.

We had a great turnout for the Double Deuce
George Brown had 2 aces and Boebo had 1. Thanks to everyone that could make it. Thanks to Duck's and the Clearwater Rec. Dept for sponsoring the tournament. I hope everyone enjoyed the Mini Disc Toss and the Ring of Fire. Thanks to Boebo for his donations to the Ring of Fire. A big thanks to my wife for making the great lunch for everyone. The tournament raised $250 for the Clearwater Lions Club Sight Fund that provides eye exams and glasses to needy students in our schools. I hope everyone had fun and can make it out next year.
