Austin wrote:Hopefully they are just looking for the track of land east of Ninth St. It is between their campus and their existing obstacle course. We wouldn't be able to use that land for our course anyway. We need to find out exactly what land they are looking for. More importantly we need to get over to the park and get a rough design laid down. The cities November budget meeting will be here sooner than you think.
I talked to the parks dept. today and the only land that St. Johns bought is East of Ninth St.

I talked to the parks supervisor again today and he sounded very receptive to viewing a course proposal for Thomas Park. He said the big budgetary meeting is sometime in November, so we need to start getting an idea of what we'd like to do out there.

We really need to start getting out to Thomas and getting the course designed. How about meeting out there Thursday evening?

You should just haul some baskets out there and play a few leagues. Then you can move and tweak what you have.

We do mobile league here all the time.

That sounds like a good idea, but it seems like having a general plan of attack would be good before we started hauling baskets to the park. We had talked about getting a rough design and then holding a mini out there for feedback.
