Right .... I find it best just to keep back at least a couple of inches to to be sure I don't shift forward when shifting my weight (no one has ever called me on it but I know it does). That's not to mention the number of foot faults that occur when there are run ups to a marked lie.

This is not a legal stance since it changed prior to release of the disc. A stance violation can be called by any group member or an official. If called by a group member (within 3 seconds of throw) it must be subsequently confirmed by at least one other group member. The first violation gets a warn...

Miranda, The thing is most of these folks don't mean harm .... they just come here to have a good time and shoot the bull like they do on the course. And, as you well know that can get pretty coarse if you are female. The fact is the sport would be helped tremendously with more participation by wome...

An official participating in tournament play may not "officiate" within his own division, whether a member of the group or not. In his group, if it is made up entirely of other's in his division then his vote counts just like any other. You'll have to pardon me because on this one I flashe...

These guys need to seriously clarify the rules then ... because that is not the way it is written in the latest edition. Not that I totaly disagree with the result they would get .... just don't agree that the rules specify the result as they say. They may write them .... they may understand their i...

Smitty,

I respectfully disagree. The rule says nothing about the disc being located later and before the player has thrown his last shot. With the official ruling that a disc is lost the subsequent lie is only as relevent as the players and or official would agree too

P.S. as an official that would be my call if the group could not reach a majority decision or their call was protested by the player whose disc was declared lost. Still, the rule book does not specify that it must be played where it was subsequently found after the three minutes was up but before pl...
