Re: 27th Frontier Open presented by DD
Smitty, You said you might have some maps of the two 18-hole courses.........so are they made? I might be near Hays this coming weekend, so I might just want to check out the courses. If no maps, are the tee pad areas clearly marked? Thanks for all the work you and the Hays crew have done to get the...

Can't make it this weekend..........
Sorry, but I can't make it to the tourney this weekend. Hopefully there will be enough of the older guys there to form a division. I'll shoot for next year, the 25th annual tourney. Hope you all have fun.............

.......I'm talking about the invention of the frisbee. Sorry Anita, but your version of the beginnings of the Frisbee has to be corrected. Actually it was invented by a staffer in the Theodore Roosevelt administration. Teddy, as he would later be called, was upset that he had made an earlier promise...

"Frisbee Golf" story............
Wow, very strange article. No mention of the PDGA or anything. Of course the store owner was going to say that a $20 disc will fly farther because he'd love to sell more of those. Surprised that he didn't say that those pretty colored discs (more expensive?) fly even farther. So do we know call him ...

Portable DisCatcher for sale
I still have my portable DisCatcher for sale. It's a single chain basket (you can make it a double) with that distinctive yellow band on top. It's very sturdy and can be altered to be used as a permanent basket. Asking $240, but will take the best offer. I'm heading to the 24th annual Hays tourney s...

K-who disc golf article..............
The kid (you're all kids) at the Kansan looked in the August 21 issue and didn't see a story on disc golf. He also asked other people in the office about it, and no one remembered a disc golf story being written. If Don was mentioned in the article, maybe he would know which paper and issue it was i...

KU disc golf article...........
Okay, I'm not going to let the little thing called the internet ("That thing still around?", as my friend Homer would say) stop me.
I've called the Kansan and they're going to get the paper from the 21st and call me back. I'll let you know what they send me.......................

GrandMasters division
Will there be an Am GrandMasters division in this tourney? You know, the guys that have the most fun in a tourney.
Are there any other more-than-mature players that plan on showing up?
Later, Ed

Portable DisCatcher and mini basket for sale
I have a portable DisCatcher for sale. It's the one that was at hole #20 at the Herington tourney last year. It's a great basket and still in very good shape. I'm asking $250 for it (new for $300+). I also have a mini basket for sale. I'm asking $50 for it. It was used at the mini disc golf tourney ...

Ice Bowls in Kansas
Oh Smitty, there are more than three Ice Bowls in Kansas. There is also an event in Wichita and of course, the largest one in the state is at Rosedale Park in KC, KS. Last year we had more than 180 people play, and the chili that everyone brought was outstanding. This Ice Bowl is always the Sunday b...

Directions to the course in Herington (only one 'r')
Since you're probably coming from the south, you can go one of two ways. The long way...........stay on the highway that curves to the east of the city. At the four way stop (Trapp Street), turn left (west). Go to Broadway (past Dairy Queen and at the bottom of the hill) and turn right. Go past the ...
