From what I am learning, they are two different peeps in charge. I have been working with a Army Corp Eng. He is the one responsible for the free side. The pay side is State Parks and Rec. You might give their office a call, maybe you could talk them outta them.
As for the free side, 9 more baskets and all 18 tees will be done sometime in April.

Smitty, get with me. I want to run one in Pomona on the new course. The final 9 holes won't be in until april so it will have to be after that sometime.

Leo-

Look at the schedule and pick a date. If it is open, you cna have it.

well I plan to canoe...

seemed logical to me but ok, I will fish from it in all the farm ponds and small lakes that I cant get to from the banks and I will take some nice line setting trips between topeka and lawrence, past lawrence gets a little dicey with that big spillway right there.

If you want to float hit me up anytime after march I should be down.

I took a trip down the falls at indian rock one year only it was in a couple inflatable rafts the cops were not happy with us especially since they told us somebody drowned doing the same thing bout a year before that. After that we decided outside the city limits was a better idea. After about 6+ hours of rafting we still hadnt met the destination. It got dark out we were lost as hell needless to say it was a very dumb idea and we ran out of booze. Some farmer ended up giving us a ride in the back of his pickup he must have thought we were idiots. Good times tho.......
