1. Only required cost is often just the cost of discs.
2. I get 1.5 to 2 miles of walking, not to mention exercise for my throwing arm.
3. Fun to play whether by yourself or with friends.
4. The incredible satisfaction of bombing a long drive, parking your upshot or nailing a difficult putt.
5. When I get off work in the morning, I often have the course all to myself.

1) Begginer friendly. Players can still advance quickly. I've played ball golf I don't know how long and can't break 90. You also don't have to be genetically gifted to play good disc golf.
2) Comeradery. Disc golfers are friendly people. I don't know how many times I've played rounds with people I'd never met before.
3) Low impact exercise. Doesn't really feel like exercise, but I always feel more energized after I get a round going.
4) The dynamic disc flight. Each shot is it's own with a change in one of many variables effecting the outcome. There are a remarkable number of very different shots to use. I love seeing different players' styles.
5) Growth. There is so much potential to add to the sport. New targets, new discs, especially new, creative ideas for course design. With the sport growing so fast, you know we share a common enthusiasm.

1. It's fun watching stuff fly.
2. A bad day of disc golf beats a good day at work (or so I've heard)
3. disc golfers are friendly
4. We don't run
5. We're the only sport where you can say, "I pured my predator and then gripped locked a demon into the schule, threw a sweet grenade to get out, but I face masked the ryhno".

top five
1. Time Factor/Convenience. I played golf in H.S. and College and it took up all of my time. 1 round would take at least 3.5 hours. Compare that to DG where you could play under an hour (depending on the group and course). Also, you can play at night and beat the heat!!!!
2. Cost Factor. Again, compared to it's big brother, Disc golf is cheap! Sure the discs are $7+ each, but compared to the average golfer losing at least 3-5 balls a round... not bad. Also, around here, no greens fees! Just show up and play! It would be kind of cool to see motorized carts eventually at some of the longer courses!!! Won't happen!
3. The Shot. There is, like in golf, always going to be at least one shot a round that will keep you coming back! Even if it's a bad shot and you want to come back and improve on it.
4. Ace Factor. I have been playing ball golf since 8th grade and have yet to record a hole-in-one. I have been playing DG for about 3 years now and have recorded 2.
5. Friends. There are a lot of great people in the game. I have met a lot of people and had a lot of good times. This sport is more laid back than golf but at the same time, there is a lot of the same etiquette practiced. You can also bring your friends and they won't be out ANYTHING by just trying it out. They don't pay greens fees, equipment fees (assuming they can borrow a couple of your discs), cart fees, etc... Risk Free Trial!
