I have a pair of North Face hiking shoes that are gortex lined. They are comfortable, waterproof, and gave good traction for icey days. Just got em this winter and have been playin a lot of snow-GLOW rounds with NO COLD FEET ! Dicks sporting goods for about $100. Also, they are like a high top, so they are good for up to about a 6 or 7 inch snow.

I always wondered how you played so well Tom. It's the shoes! I thought maybe it was that bag of yours (wall city?)! At any rate, now I feel the need to watch "The Lord of the Rings" Trilogy! Can't watch them all in one sitting, but it is the weekend, and I do have a cold... :)

Sorry, they are 8 1/2. I'm short and have small feet. I'm not sure if they had bigger sizes or not.

I found these, but they seem awfully high dollar to me.

Shoes/boots are one of the last things I'd buy online...unless I KNOW the exact size of 'that particular' shoe/boot from firsthand experience.
Ever pick out a cool 8) looking shoe at a shoe store...only to have them feel like chit when ya try them on?

Try Sierra Trading Post. They always have something good on sale shoe-wise. I got a pair of Solomans from them on the cheap.

Sierra Trading Post has stuff down as low as $40 and a good selection.
I might go see what Dick's has and probably end up taking my chances with something 3 times cheaper over the net. We'll see.

I'm pretty hard on footwear (especially with the flick toe slide), so I don't want to tear up my best pair. If all else fails, I'll go with the Wal-Mart special soaked in mink oil.
