What's the deal with this new section of the forum?

Are all of the posts from Tournaments, General Discussion, and Discs and Gear being transfered to "Archives"? They aren't getting deleted, are they? Some of these threads are only a month old. Is there a set lenth of time thread will be kept before transfered, or will it just be in chunks now and again?

Just trying to clean things up a bit! Most of the posts that moved had no reply for over 3 months or were useless information taking up space. 50 percent of them could probably just be deleted but people would freak out if their beloved post counts were to drop.
If you have a favorite topic or something specific you are looking for try the search function of the forum. They were moved in masses, so some more useful topics might have been missed and may now be in the archives. If there is a topic you would like to see back in it's original place post here and it may be moved back.
